A friend of mine got his hip replaced and I was very impressed with all the care and coordination provided by Gary Salcedo and their staff at the Join Replacement Destination center. The amount of preparation, documentation, and excellent class about everything surrounding the procedure. Gary’s personal care and attention was amazing, and Dr. Vallier and his team performed the surgery very very well. My friend was out the next day! This is the best place in the area for getting joint replacements. HIGHLY recommended!
I made an appointment with SCO because my knee they replaced in 2016 became infected. I saw one dr and he didn't do anything in that 15 min meeting with him except to refer me to dr vallier the one that did my original surgery. I am being billed over $500 for that visit. So I go to Dr vallier a week later he takes sample of the liquid in my knee and it came back with a bacterial infection. Dr Villiers just shined the whole thing on with no instructions whatsoever and he wouldn't even return our phone calls. I ended up going to assante hosp in medford and was there 10 days in the hosp. They had to remove the I'mplant in my knee and treat a major infection in my knee. I am now in a wheel chair. They are treating the infection with antibiotics. Hope fully after 8+
This organization has proven to be consistently unresponsive to our inquiries. Despite our repeated attempts to contact them via phone, we have been met with complete silence, with no returned calls or messages. The experience has been profoundly disappointing. When my grandmother suffered a shoulder injury, she received no helpful advice or guidance, only a suggestion to use a pillow for support, which was entirely ineffective. We were not provided with any useful information or advice on what to expect or look out for during her recovery. Our attempts to follow up on obtaining a sling have been similarly ignored. Overall, this experience has been, by far, the most disappointing one.
This was the perfect knee replacement experience ever. Dr Johnson is excellent and his bedside manner is amazing! I left every visit smiling! Coquille valley hospital is fantastic as well. Unfortunately, I have had my share of surgical experiences, this one was so fast! Everything went exactly perfectly.
When my sixteen year old son suffered an accident in Washington while on vacation that ended in his big toe being amputated, he had emergency surgery in Washington and by the time we got here, he just needed his stitches out. SCO took him in on an emergency basis and removed the stitches. The doctor was kind and explained everything that was going to happen before he did it. Excellent work! My husband had an office visit and the doctor found his problem pretty quickly, after being misdiagnosed at Waterfall Clinic three different times. They've set my husband up with physical therapy already and an MRI is forthcoming. Again, great work!
