Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Still in recovery but I can tell that she did something right that's for sure even though it hurts like mad I know it would so it's not something I didn't expect.

May 2029 I do not suggest this outpatient surgery center for Post Lumbar Interbody Fusions on older people. They wanted me gone so quickly that my husband was pressured to dress me when I was still asleep from anesthesia. I do not even remember leaving the building. The lead nurse had a bedside manner of a rock. Loved my surgical staff.

I had been in excruciating pain for months and had a microdiscectomy already scheduled with another surgeon in Oregon that I had been underwhelmed at the bedside manner of-but I was desperate. However, after hearing 3 different glowing reviews about the Spine Surgery Center in Eugene, I decided I should make an evaluation appointment with them - hoping that I would feel more confident in them than I was feeling with the first. I would say that my impression of the manner of this surgeon was somewhat comparable, but that the surgery center’s approach was much more welcoming and hands on than the first location. I met with the anesthesiologist right after the evaluation and went over my health history in person (the first place just emailed me a form) and they talked me through the whole procedure. Once the day of surgery arrived, I was tended to individually by all of the 7-8 specialists that would be working with me that day-no chance of misunderstandings or miscommunication-I liked that. Things moved quickly and - I guess like all surgeries - it was over before I knew it! And, the best part of all, I woke up in the recovery room with no pain. I started crying and my attendant nurse was so worried...”Are you in pain?”....and my answer for the first time in 4 months was... “No.” absolutely amazing.
