Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

It was so nice to see Dr. Quave this morning. His team is always so welcoming and I knew I was in good hands. The front desk staff makes you feel so comfortable.

I’ve been here before a few times through the years. It’s probably one of the easiest, comforting, but professional experiences i’ve ever had. Dr. Johnston is a gift from God. And his staff is always friendly and easy to talk to. They put you at ease and I know from past experience that this will fix me up for a long time to come.

My experience was great. Everyone on staff was very professional and helpful during my procedure. The only thing I would like to say is when I reached out to Dr. Quave the day after my procedure with some issues I was having, the staff told me he has 48 hours to get back to me. I find that to be way too long right after a procedure at the surgery center, especially after I mentioned how concerned I was with something that was going on.

Well to start it off the front desk lady (Tina I believe) is amazing. She’s personal, kinda, and helpful. Then it moves on to the Medical assistants/nurses. They make you feel comfortable and are friendly. Lastly is the Dr. Very loving, kind, patient, and explains everything he is doing.

Definitely one of the best experiences I've had with surgery! 👌 👍 😍 had a spinal stimulator implant. Dr Quave is an incredibly detailed oriented surgeon and one of the kindest doctors out there. His bedside manner is top notch. The staff at Ctater Lake surgery center is professional and kind. The whole vibe there is wonderful from the front desk to surgery staff. My husband and I have been patients of Dr Quaves practice for 10 years now and have been very happy with our care over the years.
