My experience at Southern Oregon Surgery Center this morning was completely pleasant and stress free. From the friendly lady who checked me in, to the kind pre-op nurses, the attentive anesthesiologist, my wonderful doctor Dr. Dimond, and the caring post-op team, everyone made me feel comfortable and supported. A special thank you to nurse Lori, who got the IV in quickly and painlessly, which is a big deal since my veins are rarely cooperative. I’m so grateful to the entire team for making what could have been a stressful day feel calm and easy.
Dr Mougey, RN Hannah and RN Holly, and Dr Arnold the Anesthesiologist were incredibly kind, patient, understanding and highly compassionate during my procedure. As someone who is medically inquisitive and somewhat knowledgeable -I had so many questions, concerns and angst about my procedure and they all (staff above) ensured I felt comfortable and most importantly, safe, under their care. Their encouragement, humor and professionalism made this experience better than I imagined. I was dreading this appt but it turned out to be a great experience. Absolutely recommend visiting this location and Dr Mougey for your medical (surgical) needs. You are in good hands here.
I was referred to this establishments from ER doctor, kept the consultation with one of their positions. Was supposed to have an outpatient procedure scheduled before I moved a month later. No one bothered to call or return my messages when I tried reaching out because it was getting closer to the time I was supposed to be moving out of the area. The Physician wanted to have this procedure done so that I would have enough time to recover and be able to move. Eventually it was too late to do the procedure and I was informed that the surgery schedule is had to schedule the procedure who never bothered to return my phone calls or contact me in over 3 weeks. When I called back again I will told that the physician himself was supposed to submit his surgery schedule with me on it. At that point it was far too late to even have the procedure done before I had to move. I then called requesting information about being referred to a physician in the area that I was moving to and was informed that my primary care had to take care of that even though it was an ER doctor that referred me. At that point I asked them to not bother with anything I would try to take care of it and please not to contact me again. Since that last contact phone call I made they have blown up my phone trying to either schedule the procedure or ask me where I would like the referral sent which they literally told me they could not give me . The position in their establishment was actually the physician who did emergency surgery for the exact same issue 15 years ago the reason for the procedure was to remove the scar tissue that would eventually cause the same blockage and I would end up in the emergency room in life saving surgery again. In the 15 years I have no confidence in this position or the establishment that he is practicing for and do not understand what happened between the time of him saying that I needed this outpatient procedure to remove scar tissue so that I did not develop a blockage or a Twist Again to we just can't help you and then to backtracking trying to accommodate me. This experience has left me uncomfortable using their establishment for my physical well-being and questioning their care concern or ability to actually save my life if need be. I'm appalled at their lack of professionalism.
I've had two surgeries here now back in 2004 breast reduction went amazing 20 years later had a total complete left hip replacement the staff was amazing it was so clean and the care that I received. Constant checking on me asking about my pain checking my vitals and I will definitely in the future have more procedures done here. Also Dr Jones did an amazing job he is from advanced joint replacement thank you to all the nurses and staff for everything you do.
Only had one small issue that seemed to be ignored even after I took the time to explain an allergy I have with the adhesive to the heart monitor stickers. They still used them that caused nasty rashes for several weeks.
