I visited OSI yesterday for my surgery and have to say the experience from start to finish was top notch even with the inclement weather we had. So If you’re looking for a great place for Cataracts Surgery I would highly recommend OSI. Thank You to The Entire Team.

I visited OSI in July 2022 and presented my Aetna HMO for an initial consult for a cataract procedure. After the consult I was directed within the office to a section known as "OSI". I was told this is where the procedures are performed. Upon scheduling a procedure that was needed so that a Macular Pucker surgery could be completed by Pa Retina Specialists, I was told that "OSI" does not accept my insurance. Faced with the decision to postpone this surgery and face a worsening of the "pucker", I opted to pay the $1800.00. So what did I get a "OSI" that I didn't get for my original retinal detachment surgery at Holy Spirit or my Macular Pucker surgery at West Shore Surgery which both accepted my HMO? Nothing. The facility known as "OSI" provided no additional value. In my opinion I believe the practice withholds their "facility fee" until after the consultation as a bait and switch which forces the patient to make a decision while under duress. I could have been told before the consultation or when I made the appointment weeks before that the surgery suite attached to the rear of the practice does not accept my HMO while the consultation was covered since Dr Wagner is an "in-network" doctor for Aetna.
