Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I had 2 procedures done today at the surgery center. I was a lil nervous but was quickly put at ease by the care and compassion from everyone there. My nurses were amazing especially during the procedure ( I was awake). From the time i walked in until the time i left I was treated with kindness, compassion and respect. They were all so friendly and helped me get through my nervousness. I would definitely recommend this center-I couldn't have asked for better care ! Dr Purewall is one of the best -so gentle and explained everything as he was performing the procedures.

I like using a facility that is honest and up front with the patient. The truth goes a long ways when a patient is placing their health in the staffs hands. When you find out that the staff has been less than honest you become reluctant to use tha facility. There is always time to change a wrong to right.

The people that made the appointment were nice and customer service oriented. Julie however the person at the front desk that was checking me in unprofessional, rude and even tried to argue with me. I’m here because I’m in pain while she’s sitting I told her after standing for about 15 minutes and coming back to return a form. I express that I’m in a great deal of pain. She says just one more minute. I know my limitations so I sit. She storms around the desk and tells me she needs a urine to see if I’m pregnant. I express again that I don’t believe that is possible. She continues to be insensitive and unprofessional and calling me by my first name. No respect what so ever. If I wasn’t in the degree of pain I would have left. I also took off work early for this appointment. At this point I’m done arguing I tell her I’ll try the urine but she’s so engaged with trying to argue with me she couldn’t even heard . I go into the bathroom come out and she says is there something in there ? Again so very unprofessional and all the reviews show they had similar horrible experiences. One year later I have to circle back and give an update. After my bad experience the next time I came things were in excellent place. There are now more accommodations for disabled people and people experiencing high levels of pain. The staff is is phenomenal, they listen, they make sure you’re listening and understand what’s going on and it’s a warm environment to help you get through a challenging moment or in my case moments. I also have to say that now Julie is my go to person. If I have questions she has answers or she will find one. Dr. Purewal is a genius finds waits to treat without all those pills. I’m happy that I won’t have to return so frequently even if my problems are for life!

This place is great friendly and professional! Julie the administrator does everything she can to make even the most chaotic situations seamless. I was able to get in and out with a speedy recovery. It is a shame seeing other customers yell at the poor staff who are only trying to help when it is most busy. People are in pain but the staff are doing what they can to accommodate all the customers coming in and out of this facility. I have personally read most of theses reviews and i couldn't DISAGREE MORE ! Great Doctors Great Staff Friendly and professional environment and the reason i will be coming back is because julie the head administration is very kind professional and does everything she can for this facility to run as it should 4 Stars !
