Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

The only thing that I can say is good about this place is the surgeon and their nurses. Outside of that, the administration side is pathetic! They never follow up and they seem to be understaffed. You have to call back numerous times to get a sufficient answer to your initial inquiry.

I came back to leave a review for doctor Wei Yan. At first, he too got on my nerves because he wouldn't sign a paper. But thanks to him ordering a lab and referring me to go to a different doctor, I finally found out what was causing my symptoms. He also did my endoscopy and I didn't feel any pain and I didnt have a sore throat after. I also liked the older woman who was able to find my vein and poke me when the other nurse couldn't find the vein. You would have to bypass the horrible front desk though. I recommend doctor Wei Yan. He was able to point me in the right direction asap. Now I can slowly get help to be treated

Nina ngo physician assistant is ignorant as hell. Im waiting for my biopsy results the only thing tying me to this place. Nina based my condition on the lab results & cat scan from ER visits. I kept saying im having these issues and would not lie for no reason. If tests are negatives, then find more tests and suggest more tests to find out why i am having these symptoms. I ask her to order some tests. She told me this isnt a shop i cant demand tests. The reason why i ask for certain labs because i saw other results is negative but symptoms is getting worse. I dont want nothing to do with her or see her face . She refuse to sign a paper to have me take 1 month off despite me having new symptoms and i still dont know whats wrong. They said they based her decision off my endoscopy results and labs but my symptoms is persisting. Its none of their business if i want to take a month off i just want a month off to monitor any new symptoms. The fact they wont let me take a month off & sign a paper shows how petty they are. It wont affect them in any type of way.

Appointments do not run on time, often they are 20 to minutes after scheduled appointment. Getting information over the phone regarding anything is hard to do. They do not provide all aftercare information when needed.
