Let's just be honest - no one WANTS to undergo a colonoscopy but this was the third in my lifetime and all I can say is that this place is WONDERFUL! Instructions provided were clear and concise, easy to follow, all the staff were nice, friendly, very competent. Dr. Lorenze came in to speak to me prior to the procedure and immediately upon my awakening from anesthesia. She's the same as the rest of the staff - nice, friendly, and very competent. My prior two colonoscopies were in another state where I used to reside but this is the only one where I can honestly say that afterwards, I didn't even feel like I had even had a colonoscopy! I believe much of the difference is in the prep instructions PLUS, I had used Golytely with those, but Suprep was prescribed for this one. There was less to drink. Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this place. EVERYONE was wonderful from the time I walked into the place until I left - staff, doctors, anesthesia, etc. Let's not forget billing - mine was definitely coded correctly whereas I didn't even have any issues with the insurance company! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING SOUTHWESTERN ENDOSCOPY UNIT!!!

my original appointment was at 215. they called me to come in at noon because the doctor was "going to be done" with other patients by then. i told them i could be there by 130. i rushed around and arrived shortly after 1, as it was the soonest i could make it. so much for the doctor being ahead of schedule because i didnt get into procedure until 345, well after even my original appointment time. hadnt eaten or drank for 20 hours at this point. the nurses are nice to you, but too busy standing around talking about what they're going to do after work and the drama in their lives. they did call to check on me today after I had my scope on Friday, which was nice. told them I was still having pain in my chest from them dilating my esophagus, which wasnt what i was there for at all. i was there for reflux and indigestion with a history of stomache issues in my family. a nurse called me back and the call was spotty and dropped. they made no effort to return the call once it was dropped. i had to get ahold of them and then they told me I needed to go the the E.R because my pain wasn't from the dilation. instead of them taking responsibility, they insisted it had to be my heart giving me pain and trouble. Will be canceling my followup if I can even get ahold of them.

My appt was at 12:15. I arrived before noon. I was taken back to the room and prepared for the procedure. After about 20 minutes the Dr comes in for signature to treat, said I would be the next to go back, after his team finished their lunch. After 36 hours without food, my anxiety started because of waiting so long, l began to cry. A woman comes in the get another signature and proceeds to tell me she had no idea that I was waiting,I didn't go back until 130. Very disappointed with the way I was treated

Tried in October to get an appointment for a colonoscopy, never got a call back after three weeks. I gave up but come Jan wasn’t feeling well and decided to try again. It’s been two weeks of being transferred to scheduling only to get a voicemail and then no call back again. It’s pretty ridiculous at this point. I get being busy but cmon.
