I scheduled my surgery months ago. Was told I just need a deposit of 494. As soon as I paid it for my surgeon, this surgical center wanted another 1k. Would not bill me later or set up payment plans or anything. The greed of corporate health care is way out of hand. I’ve never been treated like this at any other hospital. Would not recommend. Had to cancel my entire surgery days before. Insanity they can’t get you a total quote before.

Every single staff member was incredible. You can tell they love what they do! Our child had tubes placed and the procedure only took 10-15 mins. We were out in no time. I felt very informed and understood what to expect. Thanks y’all.

AMENDMENT: I did find someone to go with me. I still feel the same about their drastic requirements, but having said that, and other than that, the staff was great when I went for the surgery. The surgery went great and my sight is restored. Because of this I'm changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars, but be aware of the draconian requirements. Not just someone to go with, but then required to stay in your house afterwards for 24 hours. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Absolutely the very worst. They canceled my surgery to restore my sight because I have no one to take me the hour long drive from North Carolina to South Carolina, stay during the surgery, take me home back to North Carolina, and then stay in my home for 24 hours, AND it had to be someone I know well and not a stranger! What? I'm in my 70's, a disabled veteran, I live alone and don't know anyone here. I was told on the phone that the issue was their liability. I was told that paying a medical care transport service to drive me home after the surgery was not acceptable. They would have to bring me there, stay during the surgery, take me home and stay with me for 24 hours! This is shameful. They won't even accept a notarized waiver of liability, which is ridiculous. My medical insurance pays for rides to and from medical appointments, but they said that is not acceptable. This is the only place I've ever experienced this sort of drastic discriminatory requirement. My surgery is now canceled by them, and my sight will not be restored tomorrow because of this. Bad way to do business, and make no mistake, this is a business..

Huge thank you to the wonderful nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon here who took care of my husband recently. The care was comforting, efficient, and kind. Surgery was on time. One suggestion for improvement would be a take home printout with what to expect in recovery; multiple verbally shared main points, but with emotions/tiredness running high, it’s hard to remember those things once getting home.
