Went in for a colonoscopy and endoscopy. To start with, a 2 and a half hour wait before the procedure is way overboard when it is expressed by the staff how important it is to be on time. Also, I expressed over and over why I was getting the procedure, both over the phone with 4 different phone calls and directly to the nurses while I was in there. After the procedure, Dr. Choksi tells me his findings and orders blood work on something he has already told me I had. That he himself told me 16 years ago and 4 other times in his office since, but for some reason didn't have any record of it, all the while completely ignoring the reason why I came in the first place and didn't even look at the reason i came in. When letting Dr. Choksi know, his response was, well you told the nurse not me, I'm the doctor. Making it my fault that he didn't do what I came in for. What is the point of having the nurses ask the preliminary questions if the Doctor doesn't communicate with them, read the paperwork, read the referral which explained why i was coming in or even look at the history of his patient? Then prescribes me medication that I expressed directly to his face while in the office, that the meds he prescribed does not work and we have tried it before. His response was, well it should if your last medication worked, it's basically the same, you can call the office if it doesn't. Dr. Choksi did not listen to anything I said and seemed to completely ignore me and disregard my concerns. It was a complete waste of time coming in for this procedure, because in the end, he didn't even address my concerns or reason for the visit. The staff and nurses are great, but the Doctor definitely needs to work on his bedside manners and not blame the patient because he didn't pay attention to the paperwork or communicate with his staff. Now I get to pay more money to go to a completely different doctor in order to address my reason for coming in in the first place. It's hard enough living paycheck to paycheck, so Dr. Choksi, thanks for wasting my time, my money, making me miss work, and now having to go somewhere else to address my issues, effectively costing me more money and time off work, all because communicating with your staff was too much of an inconvenience for you. Sorry for clearly expressing my concerns to 3 different members of your staff prior to seeing you, only for it to be ignored because the entire 20 seconds you spoke to me before putting me to sleep, I didn't go into depth and explain everything to you that had already been told to your staff of whom you pay to get this information. Definitely my fault, so thank you for making me feel stupid for your negligence. I have read so many good reviews about you, and heard so many good things about you, and had great experiences in the past with you, prior to my visit today. I was so confident that I was going to leave here with the answers I was searching for. I guess according to the reviews, I got to be the very rare, once in a blue moon, lucky patient that you decided wasn't worth your time to confirm why you were even seeing them. To make it worse, I have to come in for a follow up appointment in 4 weeks for something that I didn't even come into the office for. To make it even worse, I'm sure this will be completely ignored, and if it is addressed, I'm sure a point will be made to place blame on me.
Receptionist, nurses, doctor and all staff encountered were all great. I felt relaxed and they assured my comfort. They quickly informed me of all results of procedure. I highly recommend them.
I received excellent care. The Doctor, nurse and staff were very professional, they answered all of my questions and put my mind to ease. They even called and followed up the next day. I definitely recommend .
Wonderful experience!!!! First time having a colonoscopy done and I was super nervous, the staff was great at making me feel comfortable! They do not mess around with the schedule either! I was in and out of there within my allotted time!!! They were all professional and super courteous even though it was 6:00 am!!!!
I had a colonoscopy and EGD and I had a great experience. My nurses were so kind and caring and made me feel at ease. My pre-op nurse was Casey and post op nurse was Coelina and they were excellent. The entire team went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. I highly recommend Maury Endoscopy Center. Completed the entire process in less than 3 hours!
