A wonderful experience- from the front off to the back office- my NP- Mrs. Farmer was so sweet and listened to allll of my symptoms without any judgment and I felt so comfortable the whole time, she heard my symptoms and immediately got me signed up for procedures and labs to check everything!! Everyone in the office was so sweet and very professional! I am very glad I chose this place!! Well worth the drive, if you live in Kingsport, TN like myself! Thank you G.A. of NE. TN !!!

I am very well pleased with my change to Johnson City gastro from Kingsport gasto. Things are so much different. They take time to listen to you. Meds are called in on time. It's unreal in the difference. Need help, send out a text to them, always reply in a very small time. I had been with Kingsport gastro since the 80's. . But thank you JC gastro.

From first entering the office, I was greeted by office personnel in a professional manner. I was called immediately to see doctor. Initial Nurse was thorough & NP Mattie was thorough, listened & Dr. Jason McKinney was friendly, gave good advice, & suggested further testing. Answered all my questions. Very pleased with this entire visit. Highly recommend this doctor & facility.

I had my appointment at the start of the day and did not have to wait very long at all to be brought into an examining room and to have a staff member come in and take my vitals. It also was not very long before the nurse practitioner it came in and listened to me discuss what my medical problems were. She listened and was not in a rush to get me through like it was a sausage factory. I appreciate that and would recommend this clinic to anyone based upon my initial visit. It was my first time here.

I had a upper endoscopy done on Friday last week, the office staff and the nurse who took me back were all very kind and reassuring. I was very nervous and rescheduled the procedure a few times already. Once I got back there, I was told the nurse doing the anesthesia would be in and would answer any questions I had. She came in was very hateful and just took me straight back. My procedure went fine except they had to do an emergency airway since my O2 dropped. I woke up with a busted lip and a cut tongue. I was told my throat may be tender for 24hrs post endoscopy. I couldn't even touch the outside of my neck/face and had bruising on my jaw/neck. I was in pain all weekend and when they called me Monday I made them aware of this but that I wanted to see if it would go away. The man who called me reassured me it sometimes could take 48-72hrs for the pain to go away. By Wednesday this week I called to let them know I still could not eat solids and the pain was worsening. I never received a call back from the nurse. I called 7x. 1 other time the phone was answered and I was reassured they had sent a note to the nurse and she would call me. She still has not called me and I spent my whole day on the ER. Dr. mckinny was very nice and reassuring when he came in to start the procedure, however whoever his nursing staff is was not and was not able to return calls to patients in severe pain. Here we are 6 days later and I still can only eat soup.
