Had a great experience today with my surgery. Bethany, RN was absolutely amazing and so professional. When I got back into the OR, the staff was like a well oiled machine, moving very fast and efficient. Would definitely come back here for surgery again.
I will NEVER have another surgery in a day surgery center. My own fault for giving them "benefit of the doubt", and hoping for a better outcome. I only gave the second star because they were "nicer" while treating me horribly! I was the last patient of the day, everyone wanted to go home, but my oxygen levels were low and I continued, in and out of sleep, to tell them that something was wrong. Instead of treating me, they gave me a plastic breathing apparatus, put me in a wheelchair while still half asleep and vomiting, and took me to the car so that they could call it a day!! The ironic part to all of this, is that I explained to them the reasons for my anxiety upon arrival! They smiled and claimed to be different. Well, the only thing "different" is that they treated me like garbage with a smile on their face. 48 hours post-op, and my oxygen levels are still fluctuating between 91-94!! My own fault, and a problem that I will have to handle alone. I cannot stress enough my advice to forego ALL day surgery centers!!
Surgery today with Dr. Nechtman at Premier Surgery Center was a very good experience. Not only is Dr. Nechtman a top notch surgeon, the staff and facilities were as well. Thank you for outstanding service all the way around!
Dr. Gibson and Team installed mesh over multiple umbilical hernias for me today. When Dr Gibson examined me before surgery, he noticed a second hernia present near the known one, which required additional work and tactics beyond the minor 15 minute operation that was planned. He was unphased by this discovery and after about 45 minutes, had the hernia repaired. The entire staff, from walking in to being wheeled out, was extremely pleasant and accommodating of me and helped make the whole procedure way less stressful and scary for me. Vicki helped me get settled in and kindly went over most everything with me and answered all my questions with great care. Chris physically prepared me for surgery and helped me feel at ease and comfortable when I started getting anxious and sweaty thinking about what was about to happen. Brad answered all my drug interaction questions and did an excellent job keeping me out for the entire procedure, when I have a history of sometimes waking up. Bethany did a great job at responding to my nausea and hot/cold spells before they got too bad and helped me get back closer to normal after surgery. She was extremely kind and caring of me and what I was going through. She helped me get ready to go home and reminded me to breath while moving. Everyone in the OR who I couldn't see without my glasses or remember, thank you so much for everything you did for me in there. Wendy, thanks for overseeing everything and coming to check on me and chat about our hair. I'm writing this the evening of my surgery, 8 hours after leaving. I have some pain but it seems limited to nearby muscles being stretched tight when I move the wrong way. No pain in the incision or work area at this time. No pain killers taken since one right after surgery - only Tylenol since leaving. I contribute this to the care taken during the procedure, as well as the technology used to perform the task. Thanks again to everyone who helped me out or interacted with me today. I would trust you all again if I'm ever in the same boat.
I recently had surgery here. Every person I encountered in this practice could not have been nicer. The surgery center is a beautiful facility. All of the nursing staff were caring, kind, and answered all of my questions clearly. Dr. Harrell was comforting and reassuring before the surgery. My husband was very satisfied with the communication he received post surgery. I highly recommend!
