A Special Thank You to the Team and Staff here at Northridge Surgery Center!! My Cataract Surgery was a Success! It was my First Surgery ever and I'm now 65. Healthy I guess. Special Thank You to Doctor Hartman! Looking forward to getting my other eye done by you! Because seeing better...I might be able to find a Wife π
I had carpal tunnel surgery here a week ago. The staff was excellent. The nurses took great care of me. I was in and out in no time. I prefer to have surgery early in the morning, so I wasn't a fan of the 1 pm surgery time, but that was my only complaint.
Would give zero stars if possible. Let me start by saying that the medical care is wonderful. But once the procedures are over, you have to deal with the billing department, who is horrible. Husband had two surgeries done in November 2024 for cataracts. We have two insurances. Per our secondary insurance, our patient responsibility is $0 for both. The surgery center is having a difficult time understanding this and continues to send my husband bills via mail and text, along with phone calls. We faxed a letter and both EOBs to the billing department, and then a month later my husband is contacted again. Today he spoke with the Business Office Coordinator. She told him that we had a balance with his first surgery that she kindly "wrote off." However, per my insurance, no such balance should have existed. Once I was able to provide to her the EOBs for the second procedure, she called my husband and said that she would be readdressing the first surgery. This is harassment and complaints are being filed with all necessary agencies. If you have another option for your surgery, go elsewhere. Otherwise, be prepared for a big battle on the financial front. Also, FYI, they charge two - three times what most surgery centers charge.
I went here for cataract surgery. The surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and the nurses, all treated me with the utmost professionalism and kindness. I felt very confident that I was in good hands. I received follow-up calls and today at my post-op appointment I found that my vision is back to 20/20!!
Front desk requested over $350 to see my spouse whom has Medicare A & B. When I asked if it was coinsurance or deductible the attendant advised it was a facility charge. I said yes, it files on a UB04, yet what is balance requested upfront for back injection, she said she didn't know, would have someone come answer my question. Needless to say I never heard from anyone, my spouse waited from 1:20 to 2:35 before called back. When I read all reviews it appears this establishment has major claim filing issues, billing doesn't appear to be Medicare compliant, I will research further with federals now.
