Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

I have had 4 replacement surgerys within the last 3 yrs. 2 knees, hip and shoulder all by Dr Morrison. Love the entire office front desk, nurses, x ray tech. Just can't say enough how they care about your issue then recovery. I would recommend SJI to anyone that asks. Then the care at Centennial Hospital is first rate.

I was greeted by Belinda at the door, prepared for surgery by Casey, given my spinal by Dr Skokin, put to sleep by Clay CRNA, prepared to go to the OR by Gina and recovered by Heather. There were other team members who I KNOW gave me excellent care ( Jade , Dan, Shane) This team has been painstakingly assembled by Dr Hodrick and it shows. Everyone was so nice , kind and patient with me as I navigated my joint replacement and I felt perfectly at ease and cared for during my stay. It is like a well oiled machine from start to finish. I am in the beginning stages of regaining my strength and mobility but I can honestly say if you need to have a joint replaced you will not be disappointed if you chose to have your surgery here. Again thank you so much for being part of the team .

Excellent facility and staff! Dr. Deboer is phenomenal and Casey in pre and post op was amazing. I have no complaints. Honestly, everyone we encountered from the front desk to pre-op to anesthesia to post-op was great. I had a hip replacement and was in and out in less than 7 hours.
