Highly recommend! The specialty medical Outpatient facility Is well-maintained, very clean, and the Front Desk staff is friendly and efficient. My early morning appointment for a lower lumbar injection was pain-free (w/mild sedation) during and afterward. If I need any further treatments, this will be my go-to location (Shoal Creek Blvd. address)
You always hear about establishments in the medical field that prioritize profit over customer care and in my option, this office is a prime example. Unless you enjoy consistent lack of communication or miscommunication, then this is not the place for you. For the past two years I’ve been a patient here and on a positive note, I do believe certain providers (Dr. Amasha) truly care about their patients. Unfortunately, it was absolute insanity dealing with the scheduling team, case manager, billing department, etc. There is clearly a lack of communication, both internally and to the patient from this office, and the most frustrating part has been that they take no accountability whatsoever. In addition, itemized receipts were requested for each of my procedures and I quickly realized there was a lack of transparency and several incorrect charges. After my last surgery, I was told that I would receive the requested itemized receipt 2-3 weeks after my surgery. I have reached out to the billing department directly, gone in person to make the request, again, and requested assistance from my case manager. It has now been over two months and I still have yet to receive the requested document. I would never wish upon anyone the stressful and negative experience that I have had dealing with Capitol Pain Institute and the Center for Specialty Surgery.
Everything was done in a very excellent and caring way. The nurses were wonderful and understanding. The surgery was done in a matter of 10 minutes and because I had local anesthesia I felt nothing at all and can't even remember after everything was done which in my view was excellent. I am doing fine with no problems.
Dr. Amasha and his staff are AMAZING! Front desk starting it off inviting and friendly. Every single nurse was wonderful, they answered all my questions, had me laughing and made the procedure go much more smoothly. I’ve had spine injections before at a different clinic and they were uncomfortable and an anxiety ridden time. This was not he case. Not only was it smooth but it was so much less painful, Dr. Amasha was so quick and it felt nothing like what I remembered from the other clinic. If you are in pain and you need a team that has your back (pun intended) come see these people!
From check-in to discharge, my experience was outstanding. Every single staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly, kind, and professional. We even shared some giggles along the way, which helped me relax and feel at ease. They made me feel comfortable and cared for the entire time, and it was clear they truly love what they do—even though their work isn’t easy. I felt in great hands from start to finish, and I’m so grateful for the excellent care I received. Thank you to the entire staff for being so nice, kind, and truly wonderful.
