Their management, staff, and anesthesiologist should be ashamed of their behavior today. While I'm having a disagreement with the management regarding their policy against veterans having service dogs with them and the ADA, on the way back to the bay, their anesthesiologist started making comments towards me but stopped when I tried to say something in return and explain myself. And when I ask for their policy in writing, their director (that's what he said he was) got all pissy that I even asked for it, like I was a bother to him. Even returning a second time because he wanted to "make sure I had all the definitions" and that he knew all about the ADA, as he's trying to explain to a disabled veteran with a service dog... during all this the entire staff are all quietly listening, because when the nurse returned to put in my IV, she had to turn the laptop away from my eyes because the Teams chats (darn those, they always get you) started popping up. And then you hear the whispers, but it's all good because there are nicer people and nurses out there, but you won't find them here at Spicewood.
Billing issue only! Services were great. I had overpaid my bill in Dec 2024 and I told them that I had met my family deductible but they still made me pay the full amount. It is now June 2025 and they still haven't paid me back my money! I have been calling since March and every month I get the same answer "we need a second approval and that should be this month". They know they need to pay me back but they refuse to pay me. I've tried escalating but only the billing person will call me back and not her boss. Unfortunately, this week I threatened legal action if I did not get my money back. We shall see. Imagine if I didn't pay my bill in over 6 months? They would have sent me to collections by now!
Completely frustrated with the new policy for the driver, you are now REQUIRED to sit in the small waiting room the entire time of the procedure or risk the patient not being allowed receive treatment! In the past, I would go and get breakfast for us both and have nice food and a Starbucks waiting when she is done. This is ridiculous and sounds like they are making everyone suffer because some patients are not following the rules (I am assuming they are using Lift or Uber). Do not make ALL suffer for the few. It makes the entire experience bad for the both of us.
Strictly for Billing issues. It appears that my secondary insurance was not used, every payment by them is 0. The front desk and care team are great. Billing issues have been going on for years and im ready to see a different doctor just to stop dealing with it.
Dr Fae and team was awesome! No complaints with healthcare professionals. Billing is BAD. After they threatened to cancel procedure unless I paid my 400$ even though I showed them my out of pocket was met. Now three months still trying to get my refund!!! Lie after lie!!
