Went in for carpal tunnel surgery and left with a jaw injury. Idk how it happened or what exactly is wrong but I have significant pain and some swelling.

Staff, sneezing and coughing around me. A day or two after my surgery I came down with a viral infection that turned bacterial and was sick the whole time recovering from surgery with respiratory infection. Also, the person trying to put my IV and kept puncturing at least four veins and couldn’t get it to work. A nurse came in and put it right in. However, later my hand turned bright blue, then red, then purple, and now brown. The nurse at the doctors office told me she probably blew out my veins. Which means they may not be able to be used anymore. This is very distressing.

Everyone at the Surgery Center of Boerne was outstanding. All of the nurses were wonderful. I felt comfortable and well taken care of. The anesthesiologist was also top notch. Overall, I had a great experience and recommend this facility and staff.

We had a great experience with this surgery center. I was concerned about the billing after reading the reviews but I had no issues with Billing. I greatly appreciated the staff calling me far enough in advance to tell me what to expect upon our arrival. On the day of the surgery there were no issues. The recovery staff were wonderful with my daughter and called the next day to follow up on her recovery. I am not sure why this place has ratings so low other than to think people normally don’t take the time to leave a comment when they have a good experience.

The medical staff (including my doctor) was wonderful and I would give them 5 stars. However, the billing department is what I am reviewing. I paid upfront per their policy. Later I found out that the insurance paid more than what was expected. I called the office at the Surgery Center to see how the money would be refunded. I called more than once during office hours, but no one answered. I left voice messages, but no one returned my call. I sent an email via the link on their website. Still, no one has called me back. Still waiting!
