Very pleasant experience at this facility. Everybody was very attentive, accommodating, caring and professional. Shout out to Dr. Mitchell and his team. Thank you all for everything.
Absolutely no communication with them before my son's surgery. The paperwork said I would be contacted by them a week prior to surgery & nothing. I call to see if the surgery is still set. When transferred to the nurse I wasn't even done with my sentence when she interrupts & says "no its not a week prior (whith chuckle in her voice) whoever gave you that paperwork is wrong, I'm working on it now & will get back to you" Keep in mind this was friday surgery is Monday. Still no call & I have no idea what time he has to be there.
I had my left total knee replacement in Dec 2022. I didn't know what 5 star patient care was until the staff did an amazing job. I'm having my right total knee replacement this coming week. Due to insurance reasons, I won't be using them again, but I am terrified that patient care won't measure up. I would recommend them to anyone.
I’m very pleased with the service I received from this facility. Very friendly and professional from signing in at the front desk to being released after my procedure. I had a very patient nurse who took her time with getting my IV in because I don’t have great veins. The anesthesiologist was wonderful making sure I didn’t suffer from nausea afterwards. Dr Mitchell had great bedside manner and was available to answer any questions.
Avoid this place please. I've brought my mom here twice for SI injections. The first time Sonia the pre op nurse was rude didn't explain anything and just asked for signatures and then spoke pretty horribly to my mom about not wearing a tampon. She was excessively rough with the IV attempt and missed anyways. However the or nurse and post op nurse ann were amazing so respectful and caring. When I tried to call the DON to explain my concerns I could never get in touch with her. When she was scheduled for the second injection the surgery center refused because they supposedly didn't get paid by the insurance but when we logged in to the UHC website it said the claim was already approved and has been for almost 2 weeks basically guaranteeing payment. Second time they got an IV which was incredibly painful but burned a lot on my mom. She never complains usually but today she did because the IV was truly hurting her. The first nurse Sonia who came in blatantly said they would not change the IV because it still gives blood return despite the ball that was forming and the extreme pain. She was rude and very uncaring and un-empathetic. Finally the other nurse ann tried to get another IV and was successful. She was so caring and kind. Overall the experience was definitely not one i would like to repeat or subject my mother to. I hate that this is the only surgical center my mom's doctor is affiliated with here in El Paso.
