HIPPA violation. Pt information and PII discussed in the lobby, in front of other pt’s. It was addressed with the nurse asking info. Nurse stated they do-not have a private room to discuss info and it’s always done “like this”- in public. Info asked: name, dob, address, social security, procedure being done, allergies to meds, etc…. This was also addressed with front desk staff who stated she would bring it up to the manager.
