Had a great experience, very friendly and caring staff. They answered any questions I had and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit.
I had excellent care while I was there. The nurses and staff were friendly, cheerful, and joking around with me. They gave me snacks and water as soon as I was lucid enough to take them. The only complaint I had was the wait. I was getting hangry and very thirsty since you can't eat or drink after midnight, and no solids the day before. I was getting impatient with the wait, but once I was in the procedure room I had a great nap and got snacks when I woke up.
Extreme disregard for patients time. Their scheduling system is very poorly designed and has significant flaws. My husband had an appointment at 10:00am, it is about to be 12 at noon and he still has not been called back. It's very shameful that a hospital so renowned in Houston behaves this way. Not to mention there is a $100 cancellation fee. Also, the grace period is only 15 minutes so if you show up late you have to reschedule plus $100 fee. What a disgrace this place is. I can't be late more than 15 minutes but they can make us wait for hours! These people know nothing about professionalism. But they're quick to bill insurance and collect copays. Lol what a joke
My appointment was for 7 am, but my procedure did not actually start until 9 am. The waiting made me anxious, but once I was seen, the care I received was excellent. Hannah, my nurse who prepped me for the procedure, was kind and professional; she explained what to expect, which eased my anxiety. I give her 5 stars. Overall, I’d say: expect great care, but also expect to wait.
Best care I've found, it's even better than Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Heights building which is directly across the freeway, I've had to come here because the hospital preformed the test incorrectly and I found out only by accident. So naturally when I came here I was a little leary. The caring /helpful /professional staff went out of their way to address any concerns /issues, making sure to explain everything entailed.I was asked to be there by 7:30am, was taken to the back for prep within a hour an the endoscopy/upper gi was started by 9:38am. The medication they give to sedate you does make your hand cramp, it might vary depending on where the Iv is inserted but they do warn you and the pain is brief because the next thing you know, your out like a light and don't feel anything. For some reason I thought this kind of testing might make your throat sore but that's not so. The procedure is over with before you know it. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone you love or care about. If possible I wish I could have all testing done by any business in this building. Plus it's free parking in their small but ample parking lot not to mention there is additional parking in the garage around the back of the building. Thanks, Dr.Patel/Dr.Kahlia.
