This is a warning so you don't get fooled by that bunion study at Memorial Hermann Research. You go there and they waste your time. I don't really know what they're looking for because most people have some kind of medical condition, and the most ironic thing is that a nurse practitioner shows up who has no expression of kindness whatsoever, and who is supposed to be knowledgeable, but nothing could be further from the truth. She diagnosed me with, according to her, thousands of things that were only in her imagination. And to top it all off, I've attached a photo; she told me she observed that I had shoulder problems, and here I show the shirt I was wearing and the so-called "disease" I have, which is just the shoulder pads of the shirt. Can you really trust people like that? On another note, a piece of advice for the nurse: when you speak, open your mouth wider so you can articulate your words better and be understood. MB
Arrived at 8:30 as requested. After sitting for 2 hours we asked about when the surgery would be done. Found out it was scheduled for 10:45. Why the heck did we have to drive in the worst of Houston traffic to be here at 8:30 if you scheduled it at 10:45?!! By 11 am, with the whole waiting room almost emptied, we asked about the status of the surgery - "soon", is what we were told. At 11:18 the patient was taken back for what was supposed to be a 15 min procedure, with a 30 min turnaround. It's 12:18pm and there is no word that its been completed. Patient was walked out at 12:33pm. Honestly, this is just not an acceptable way to handle a surgery center.
I went for day surgery I had a 9:30 surgery scheduled. I arrived at 8:15 and didn't have the procedure until 10a. There is a wait but the staff is helpful and they offer warm blankets in the waiting area.
A few months ago, I had surgery here. Before the procedure, I specifically asked the front desk lady if the amount I was paying that day would be the total cost. She clearly said yes. I paid in full and went through with the surgery. A month later, I received another bill. Shocked, I called them. They told me the amount I paid was only an estimate and that I still owed more. When I asked why this wasn’t explained upfront, they insisted they had told me — which they absolutely had not. Despite my frustration, I paid the new bill. But now, four months after surgery, they keep sending me the same bill again and again. I’ve called countless times for clarification, but they keep claiming they never received my payment — even though my CareCredit card was charged and I have a confirmation number. I don’t know what the heck is wrong with this surgery center. I have never experienced such unprofessional and careless patient service. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
My dad recently got his cataract procedure with Dr.Mohidat done at this facilities. Doctor's intervention was so effective. Personnel was very kind and professional. Right on schedule, we were well informed at all time. The waiting area is spacious, comfortable and clean. I definitely recommend this location. Thanks to all the team.
