Our family visited triage at Texas Children's Hospital Women's Pavilion twice earlier in the week—on Monday and Thursday, January 12 and 15—after we thought my wife was in labor. Her contractions were still far apart, so we were sent home to continue monitoring. Although those moments were stressful, the guidance we received helped us know what to watch for. On Friday night, January 16, we returned and were finally admitted to Labor and Delivery. That is when we met Lisa, our night-shift nurse. From the moment she began caring for my wife, Lisa showed exceptional compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism. She stayed closely involved throughout her shift, and when she returned the following night, she continued seamlessly with the same calm presence and supportive care. My wife is a registered nurse—something Lisa and the team did not know—but throughout this experience she was simply the patient, and Lisa made her feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. While every nurse and doctor we encountered provided excellent care, Lisa truly stood out. We would also like to sincerely thank Adebayo J. Adesomo, who was there immediately when called upon as a complication began to develop during our stay. His calm presence, expertise, and decisive care brought reassurance in a critical moment. We are truly grateful for his experience and dedication. Early Sunday morning, January 18 at 4:35 a.m., our baby boy was born. Lisa was there supporting us through one of the most important moments of our lives. From my wife’s professional perspective, the level of compassion and dedication Lisa demonstrated is rare and remarkable. To Lisa, Dr. Adesomo, and the entire care team, thank you for the outstanding care you provided to our family. We will always remember your kindness, support, and professionalism. We are deeply grateful.

When I say my experience was wonderful! It was amazing from the time I walked in from the security to check in team to the nurses followed by drs and other staff. Everyone was so welcoming and the Maternal Fetal Medicine Department was outstanding! Wow I am so happy I was recommended by a doctor as well as friends to come here. By far the best!
