Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint โ€” commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does โ€” a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

A special thank you to Dr. Sanders and the entire THSC care team for an amazing Christmas gift! Dr. Sanders and the THSC care team were amazing. They took time away from family to repair my knee on Christmas Eve morning and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and expertise. Thank you !

Edit as of 4/28/22 Texas surgery center reached out to me asking about the bad one star review below and while the billing mess did happen it happened with billing in the doctor's office and the anesthesia office NOT the surgery center which I didn't realize were three completely separate groups. Lydia in the surgery center answered the phone (they were the third party I paid cash to in this along with the Dr and the anesthesia office) and I asked them if they billed my insurance also even after I paid cash. Lydia's reply was "I don't understand, why would we bill anyone, you paid cash/self pay before you came in?" Exactly! I thanked here then dealt with the Drs office Anesthesia people below. Hopefully the folks below learn how to do business like the surgery center. Thank you Lydia! The five stars above are for the surgery center. I'd still give the Dr office and Anesthesia people zero stars on here.... Medical team was great for surgery billing department is borderline fraudulent. We paid out of pocket cash upfront for a knee surgery totaling about 6k. Kept all our receipts and turned them into my insurance company for reimbursement (Irving surgery center even told me they don't accept my self employed insurance). Two weeks after sending my receipts in I get a explanation of benefits because the Anesthesia people billed my insurance even though they already collected $731 from me for the procedure (it was already paid!). They said they misspelled my name and there were two accounts (?) I guess two Janeceks had knee surgery that morning and it's a common name? Figured we had this straightened out then we received another explanation of benefits for my Dr bill I already paid for? When I called and was upset about it I was told "well you have to tell us not to bill your insurance company or we will". You have got to be kidding me!!?? I said "well shouldn't the fact that we PREPAID with cash show that and you can't double bill?" I was told it's an automatic thing(?) but they would call and get he bill reversed from my insurance. I'll never use these people again and highly recommend anyone else not go there. We were supposed to get reimbursed for this and are out 6k we'll see if we see anything after this mess. If we don't I'll be calling out lawyer.

Wow! The experience was amazing here. My daughter had foot surgery. The front desk assistant and all the nurses were so nice and fun. You can tell they enjoy their jobs and really care about the patients. They explained everything, made my daughter feel comfortable and kept me informed the entire time.

This is a great place as far as the medical treatment is concerned. As far as billing this place is a joke. First they billed my insurance one amount then they billed them half the amount I guess someone found a 50% off coupon. Then even when the insurance company tells them that they are not suppose to bill me โ€“ they will mess up your billing and totally ignore you and your requests for information!
