Excellent service. From the we arrived, I was greeted very cordially, was instructed to sign in. A few minutes later called to provide an DL and copy of insurance, and was given some forms to fill out. The reception area is very clean, and have coffee for out companions who are not NPOš . Then a few minutes later I was called to offices, so they could start with the admission, Roland was very polite, and processed my admission fast. I went back to the reception area, and after few minutes later was called by I believe a PCT Andrea, also very nice, courteous, and helpful. After taking my vitals signs, as instructed to change, luckily I already had taken all my jewelry at home. She gave me a nice a warm blanket and gown to change. Then a wonderful nurse (Cassandra) reviewed information, explained some more consents to sign and she started an IV on my dehydrated veins š«£, but she did a wonderful job, barley felt a thing. Then two more nurses came , one to explain about anesthesia, Shioma, and the other to let my daughter know that she would be taking care of me during the procedure. Then I can barely remember just arriving at the procedure room where the CRNA told me that she as going to star giving the medication that might sting a little and I was gone⦠I woke up in recovery with another wonderful nurse Roxy, but donāt remember much about what she told me hahah but overall it was a wonderful service, 110% recommended.
Had my first colonoscopy here and my experience was wonderful! All my concerns and fears were met and answered with the utmost kindness, compassion and expertise. Every single staff member attended me with the best care! Thank you all at McAllen Surgery Center! Truly an amazing place!! ā¤ļø
This center has been one of the best, most friendliest, and most attentive environments I have stepped into to get a procedure done. Ranging from the front office staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr. Ahsan. The place was very clean, very welcoming, and I was treated with the utmost respect and fully described in detail on what to expect before, during, and after my procedure. Special shout out to the nurses Martin, Valeria and other ones that I forgot their name, apologies. Also, Richard the anesthesiologist and of course Dr. Ahsan. Thank you for taking care of my needs during my brief stay, I would recommend this place 10/10.
I had a colonoscopy scheduled for two weeks ago. I showed up on time, and ready, and they completely overbooked which is a common issue. In my opinion they need to clean house of their entire scheduling department. I waited two hours and still wasnāt called back, so I asked how much longer is it going to be. Thatās when I was informed that they had only three doctors on site that day and were well aware they were behind from the beginning of the day, yet had no courtesy of informing me or anyone else that they were behind. I have stage 3 rectal cancer and canāt go for long periods of time without water. I was told there were 5 people ahead of me and that i would āfor sureā get in before 2p. Another two hours go by and itās 1:30 and Iām still in the waiting room for a procedure that was supposed to start at 10am. I asked again how much longer this was going to take and was told there was now six people ahead of me in line. So the line didnāt move at all in two hours and now youāre telling me theyāve added someone ahead of me? I was clearly not going to get in before 2p. They expected a cancer patient to wait all day because they donāt know how to schedule anyone over there. I finally just left and told them to reschedule me for a day when I can be the first patient of the morning. They took zero accountability for the scheduling error and tried to blame Texas digestive when their own staff is the one who book the appointments. I expressly communicated that since I had to go through the hassle of doing the colon prep all over again, I wanted to be sure I was the first patient of the morning. Texas digestive confirmed with the surgery center I should be the first patient scheduled the morning of my procedure. Apparently the staff are that out of it that they do not understand what first person of the day means. Even if you call six times to communicate this and have a Dr. office communicate this because Iām here on my second scheduled colonoscopy and judging by the 30 people already in the waiting room I am not the first person on the schedule today. Letās see how long the wait is this time.
I had a great experience getting my first colonoscopy done at this facility. From start to finish, everything was smooth and professional. The environment was very clean, and I felt comfortable the entire time. The wait was short, and everything moved efficiently.A special thank you to my nurse Karen, who was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She made me feel at ease during a very vulnerable experience. I really appreciated how caring and attentive she was. Overall, I felt well taken care of, and I wouldnāt hesitate to return here or recommend it to others needing this procedure.
