This is the second time my husband has had surgery at this location and the first time was ok, but I cannot give a positive review this second time. To start, they were running 2 hours late- which is totally fine- however there was zero communication to my husband. He was still told to arrive on time and was hooked up to an iv and fluids only to sit there for hours. We only found out there was a delay because I called the nurses line to get a status update on his procedure. There was only one update on his surgery by the time he finished. I will say, his orthopedic doctor is amazing and caring and I would recommend him to anyone. My SIL arrived to pick him up and there was no one around and doors were locked. We called the surgery center only to get their after hours line with no emergency or call back option. We called the doctor’s office who also didn’t have this option. We called the emergency number listed on their website which connected us to a person in a different ER who had no idea how to help. He graciously offered to contact every phone number he could find and in the interim my SIL ran into a nurse who helped her. It was very obvious the nurses were ready to leave for the day as they rushed my husband out of the recovery room soon after my SIL arrived. He was still very groggy, unable to move on his own, and was throwing up as they wheeled him to her car- a very different state than what he was in when we left the first time. He is currently barely awake with chills and unable to keep any fluids down. Really scary and disappointing. ETA- the anesthesiologist told my husband he was going to give him the nerve blocker after he was under anesthesia vs. before (as it was done the first time). It was very obviously not done as he is in much more pain this time around and the pain meds prescribed are not helping at all.
April 17, 2024 was my first opportunity to go to any facility of the Texas Methodist Healthcare system. My scheduled colonoscopy went extremely well. The "team"....registration to discharge was so kind and considerate to my needs pre- and post-procedure, and of course, during. It is not "normal" to enjoy one's pre-procedure phone call from the RN, but I really did! Stephanie, RN, who called was kind, had a lovely voice, was patient with me while I retrieved the necessary information, and was just a fun person to converse with. She had an "infectious laugh!" I hung up with a smile on my face! Jenny, RN, on admission who set my IV was so gentle and efficient! Dr. Uddin, anesthesiologist actually listened to what I had to say! (unheard of by me with other hospitals!) Kurt, Dr. Maddala's assistant was so energetic and kind! Dr. Maddala is a beautiful lady and an excellent physician! Thank you to the entire team at Craig Ranch! I really appreciate each of you so much!
I had a simple procedure done in March. Everyone at the Surgery Center was so professional, friendly and helpful! The whole process went super smooth. After the procedure, every nurse who interacted with me signed on my release instruction sheet with well wishes. Small gesture, but it really warmed my heart!
Best experience I’ve ever had with a healthcare center. I came in for ACL reconstruction and every single staff member we came in contact with was fantastic. The woman at check in, the nurses, doctors, and especially the anesthesiologists. Everyone was incredibly attentive to my needs and had the best bedside manner I’ve yet to experience. The entire facility was spotless, parking was easy, and every step of my visit was very well organized. The only thing I’d complain about was that FedEx was late bringing my graft due to rerouting the delivery because of the tropical storm, but that has nothing to do with the Surgery Center and it can’t be helped. That’s out of everyone’s control. I have not one negative thing to say about this facility and highly recommend it to anyone needing outpatient surgery. I’m absolutely floored with how amazing this experience was.
I love this place! I get all my steroid injections here and I had back surgery here on new years eve. I love their staff and the nurses know me by name which is pretty cool. Its always quiet and you get alot of attention. Highly recommended! !!
