First surgery ever in my forties and the experience was satisfying. From the clean, organized, well prepared facility to the professionalism and caring staff! Waiting time flow was perfect. Nurse Eleanor, provided exceptional care. Her attentive character made the surgery prep so comfortable, after changing into the gown, then she wrapped leg massagers, provided warming socks & blankets and complimentary refreshments for my spouse since I was still fasting. Once she was done with vitals and IV needle insertion, I was so relaxed. Doctor ready to take me back and as I was rolled away to enter the surgery room I had passed out lol. Meds worked and I woke up from recovery room fully refreshed. No joke, that anesthesia revived me. Discharge RN, Joe also an angel was very professional and very helpful. Thank you for this experience! I hope to help others feel more confident to get their needs met. 🫶
Nurses are nice. Last month when we were here you lost some paperwork and we had to start this whole process over. Here we are again and this time it's something else. Some of the procedures do not make since. The forms and paperwork that needs to be filled out before surgery gets sent the week of surgery. So surgery on Thursday they send over the paperwork on Monday. It will tell you to stop taking certain medications however it does not tell you when to stop them. Then when you get to surgery there are medication that should have been stopped at least 7 days before surgery. Well maybe you should start have the paperwork work filled out more than a week before surgery.
Had a great experience today with the entire staff, I cannot say enough good things. From start to finish everything was explained in detail for my procedure, and they took great care of myself and my wife, and other patients and their family members.
Never have I ever felt so well taken care of as a person scheduled for any thing within a facility. My experience here left me emotional for the remaining day and days after. These health care professionals cared for me far beyond the requirements. I want to thank the people who I had such a pleasure meeting this past friday. Brenda, Amanda, Danny, and Michelle. You guys made me feel like someone who deserved care, I have not experienced that in a very long time.
3/31/25 Decently nice place, took my dad there for surgery and the doctor was “running behind” they said. He didn’t get into surgery until 5:30pm and it was scheduled for 2pm. After they finally got him back there I left and went to grab food and when I came back all of the staff had left so I was unable to get back inside and when they called me saying he was done they didn’t tell me how to get back inside so I spent 45 min in the lobby calling and knocking on the door to get in. When a nurse did finally come out of the door she said they had been waiting for me to which I let her know I had been there waiting and trying to get in. I got my dad home at 8pm and went to get his meds from the pharmacy to which they told me they never received an order for him and the office was closed so he had to wait until morning for them to send it in again. Just a long and frustrating process that I wish had gone smoother. But Eleanor was the best prep nurse, very nice and kind so we appreciate her! UPDATE 4/17 my dad had to have surgery on his knee again. He was told to be there at 4 AM only to have his surgery pushed out to 10 AM because they didn’t have the “device” they needed for his surgery. Apparently There was a miscommunication on whether said device was there or not and in turn it wasn’t. And big surprise the survey got pushed back to 3pm because they said his surgeon was busy until 3. He hadn’t eaten since 11 O’clock last night and still continues to not be able to eat anything until after the surgery. I had called and spoken with one of the directors, Whitney, who Was able to talk to me about what was going on and after explaining my frustrations to her she was very understanding and handled the situation well, I appreciated her reaching out to me but the frustration is still there. She also told me that there was a new protocol for letting patients family's in for after hours patient pick up. My dad said he could hear the nurses through the curtains talking about how frustrated they were with the staff treatment and the lack of staff that shows up per day. Just know that if you book your surgery here that it will probably not be on time and it will be dis organized.
