This place needs a serious policy change. The staff and doctors were very nice but the policy’s put in place by I’m sure someone in an office somewhere needs to be revisited. I’m so disappointed with this surgery center’s policy of keeping parents from their children during sedation. My 2.5-year-old needed a broken bone reset, no cutting, just sedation and I wasn’t allowed to be with him. They promised a certain nurse would stay with him the entire time, but when he came out, it was a completely different (male) nurse. The doctor came out said everything went well, yet I still had to wait another 20 plus minutes before being ALLOWED to see my son. They finally let me back but only after I started to get upset. How are parents supposed to know how their child was treated when we’re kept away? It’s 2025, at the very least, there should be some kind of transparency like video monitoring or recording, a little window we could look through, literally anything. No parent should have to wonder how thier child is being treated or how thier child is doing at all for that matter. This policy’s needs to change.
Dr. Gibbs and his whole staff are awesome they have replaced both of my knees. I would only recommend this facility above all others. They are GREAT.And Dr.Gibbs nurse Mags is a great nurse.
My husband had hip replacement. The whole staff was amazing. From receptionist to nurses to doctors. Every person went above and beyond in his care and also in mine. We were so very pleased with the service we received!! Will definitely recommend!!
Very disappointed! Patients should be notified BEFORE the visit, that their caregiver (daughter) won’t be allowed to go back into the room with them. My Mom has hearing loss and can’t understand people when they speak wearing masks. I told the nurse this and she shoots back that “we have people with hearing issues all the time.” That may well be, but they have not dealt with my Mom before. Every patient is not one size fits all! My Mom already has anxiety over her upcoming surgery and she wanted me in the room to better understand this pre-op visit. So sad this could have and should have been avoided!
The facility is one of the most organized and the cleanest I have been in. The staff is amazing! From pre-op to after surgery care to the poor R.N. that had to put up with me all night! Special recognition Susan and Susie who rancor me all night.also to balance and I believe it was Angie( I hope that's right) to my wake crew Lorna and...dang it I knew I would forget one! Thank you ladies and the Doctors who made my surgery and care bothe before and after AMAZING!. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE OFFICE PERSONNELTHAT GOT ME FED!. YOURTEAM ROCKS. THANK YOU
