This is an excellent facility. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, even though they are extremely busy professionals. What I really liked was that everyone working there seemed happy to be there, even on a busy Monday morning. There was a joy and camaraderie amongst the staff, which is rare to see today. They definitely work as a team to try to make the experience seamless to the patient. They went out of their way to make me feel safe and comfortable, and I am most appreciative for the fantastic care I received. My thanks to all.
Everyone here is very pleasant. All the staff working on me came in and introduced themselves. They are very efficient. I was mostly clear headed about an hour after I left so, Dr Van Dinter and his crew are outstanding.
The only purpose of this post is to request patients to do some homework to avoid unpleasant surprises. I got a bill for 8400$ for a routine colonoscopy from the anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist got more than the GI plus the facility plus Baylor. More than double ! My insurance company paid it!!!! The whole system is such a mess. You will never be able to figure out who is accountable for what. That is how the medical system works. I know they have other good anesthesiologists. So please check on who you are being assigned. I have posted a detailed explanation on the Baylor plano link. The GI was absolutely great. I would certainly go back. I am posting this after much thought as I want to be respectful and not just slam. So it is unfair that I am giving one star. But they still have to pay attention to who they bring in and must have some vetting process. It taints them too otherwise. Because patients get caught jn the mess.

I have a complaint similar to that of Joe. I was told that there would be no out-of-pocket expenses even though I was out of network. The insurance company did pay, then reversed charges when they discovered that this facility was out of network. This facility then tried to bill me for the charges I was told wouldn't occur. I've called the number on the bill to talk with people that send "messages" to the facility billing staff. This staff's responses are either non-responsive or non-existent, and they keep sending bills. They are either grossly incompetent or criminal (using deceptive trade practices). These are definitely people to avoid.
