Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Dr. Robinson, Dr. Archibald and The entire staff there at the RICHFIELD location of Southwest Spine & Pain our hands-down, the best in their industry. They listen to their patients and they treat them with respect and dignity and the service you receive from them shows they care about you personally not about anything else.

The procedure went smoothly. The staff including the doctor's are wonderful. Sometimes it seems rushed, so make sure you write a list of your issues. Don't forget an injection is not always going to solve the problem and they only last 6-12 months depending on your body. Good luck, God bless, and a Big thank you to the team who helped me in August 2025.

Justin was very caring and listened to what I had to say and had no problem with changing my medication to make sure my pain was managed a lot better. The wait time to see him was not long as all and his nurse was very helpful, caring, and informative as well. I was very pleased with my whole experience. I will most definitely be recommending him to all my family and friends.
