It is not easy for me to travel. So I think it is unnecessary to go in for 5 minutes of "has anything changed?". And that's the end of the appointment. 50 mile round trip. 2 small transportable o² canisters that only lasts 20 minutes. Very Inconvenient.

The care I was given at Mt Baker Pain clinic in Bellingham was excellent. All of my interactions with staff were professional and kind. I had a steroid injection in my back and felt very nervous about doing the procedure. The staff were calming, reassuring and empathetic. I felt well cared for. All went well. Thank you!

Worst medical care ever. Heartless, uncaring, rude and inefficient. Three weeks to review a referral two more week for an appointment. They knew there was an MRI but neglected to get the film. Could not treat me until they got the films. Over a week later, nothing. When I called to inquire, was put on a 5 min hold and then the line went dead. Called back and was told there is nothing they can do but put in the request again Thankfully there are many pain clinics in the Seattle area for me to pick from. Avoid this place. To the person on the phone today: Your lack of compassion and grace when dealing with a patient in pain is unacceptable. I hope you never get treated in a medical setting the way you treated me.

Dr. Rickards listens and takes a proactive, comprehensive approach to my care. My spine condition is complex and constantly evolving due to degenerative disease, and he has never treated my pain as something static or simple. He was the one who recognized signs of severe nerve damage in my arms and spine, and his referral led to a neurologist who had me in surgery just over a week after my first evaluation. Without his insight, I would have continued attributing the pain to neuropathy, with potentially serious consequences. At Mt. Baker Pain Clinic, I feel heard, understood, and supported. I know I have a long road ahead, but I’m confident in the team around me and grateful for their commitment to helping me move toward a higher quality of life with less pain.

Dr Richardson is great, explains thoroughly what you need to know, answers your questions, you don’t feel rushed. His assistant also very nice, I mentioned I was cold he brought me warm blankets. The women at the front desk I feel could be more pleasant when checking you in. I can’t remember when I went to a doctors office and felt like the people who were checking you in for your appointment were doing you a favor. Everyone else in the office has always been nice.
