Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

Terrible customer service. My prescription expired 2 weeks earlier prior to my phone call. As soon as the lady picked up to the end of the conversation, could not seem any less interested in helping or giving beneficial service. I called for an extension for a month, her rhetoric to me was as following “You haven’t been seen in two years, that’s a negative”, “… looks like you were supposed to have been see on the 12th, so we need to put you on the schedule”. Also after that I said I’m holding off on scheduling an appointment because of insurance and she questioned me further? Am I being helped with good information or interrogated? These desk ladies need checked for their rude behavior. The doctor is great, customer service though is lack luster to put it kindly.

My son see's doctor Chad here and has seen him for about 2 or 3 years. Doctor Chad is an awsome eye doctor. He's great with kids a d teenagers as well as adults. Very professional, but also very down ti earth and is very good at explaining everything so your nervous if anything he does or procedures. They have a great fun loving staff. The receptionous are great and there nurse is amazing. My son had a bad blood nose right before hus appointment and they worked around it to still get him in to see the doctor as well as there nurse spray who came out to the parking lot and helped my son calm down (he was very nervous and can not handle the sight if blood very well. She brought out ice packs, gauze amd cold water to him. She set with him the hole time and just talked to him while helping to get the nose bleed under control. There where other staff members that came out to check on him and help her with anything she needed. The hole staff and all there team really are caring people and they all work great together to make a great business amd help there patient out with anything they can. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM ...

I had a detached retina this year and then had to have cataract surgery on both eyes. I had had an evaluation at Clearview and PCI in Lewiston. Both of those places are pretty expensive 5-6k but when I came here I found out that they are a family oriented business with 2 amazing doctors. I had both eyes done and I can see nearly 20/20. I can't that you and your staff in the office as well as your nurses. I would highly recommend this eye Dr. Thank you for the excellent care
