Excellent experience with my surgeon Dr. Beck, Rodd Kiliany my PT, and the staff. I had a very painful issue with my hand and Dr. Beck was able to fix my issue with surgery and some physical therapy with Rodd. I am very grateful for my hand being fixed and I could not recommend them enough.
My surgeon was efficient, but the staff is lacking. It takes over 45 min on hold to even talk to the scheduling dept, and when you do get them on, they put you on hold multiple times. It took me being on the phone for 94 minutes to find out my insurance isn't even in-network - after they had already seen me. Ridiculous. Waste of time.
Went to proliance due to a right knee injury. The doctor prescribed with a knee orthosis which costs 225 dollars after the deductible. The original before insurance adjustment is 1,582 dollars. If you directly buy from Amazon it only cost you 30 dollars. I tried to call billing office and got told it’s how it is. I really don’t get it how this could be this expensive and why they couldn’t just advise to buy somewhere else which is 10 times cheaper. I don’t see this ethical and just feel they just want to earn money out of it.
I had a really wonderful experience with my doctor and my surgery went well. However, I have been trying to pay off my bills for this surgery for almost 6 months. Proliance used to be linked to a different doctors office I went to 6 years ago and so had an incorrect address on file and the front desk person did not put in the address I filled out on the date of my surgery. I got a call from billing in January saying that I have a outstanding payments she corrected my address (or so I thought, it turns out they did not actually correct in the system they just wrote a note saying that it should be corrected) and I paid my late bills. This was the first I had heard of these bills, at each follow up appointment I asked if I owed any money and they always said no. Since this call I have had 2 surprise bills sent to collections with no notification by mail, phone, or email from Proliance. I have talked to the billing department and they cannot help me make sure that everything is paid and cant even tell me any other surprise bills I might get from the other entities associated with my surgery. The post office knows my address, my insurance knows my address, proliance has my address, email, and phone number why am I not getting notice of these bills before they are sent to collections? I just want to make sure I paid everything I need to and the billing department quite literally said they cannot help me.
The nurses and staff at the surgery center were very kind, attentive and made my recent surgery a very comfortable experience. The facility was clean, bright and comfortable. The nurses and doctors frequently asked if I was comfortable, gave me warm blankets, pain meds to control post-op pain, ice packs, and snacks after the surgery. This was my second surgery here and it was a great experience again. Thank you again to all the great nurses and staff in the surgery center for the great patient care.
