I had the most awesome nurse and doctor/surgeon! Both answered all of my questions and the surgeons work was highly skilled! Nurse did a great job showing me how to do wound care and recovery!

I was pleased to get a next day appointment as it is taking me months since moving from ID to WA state to get an appt. with a medical provider. My annual screening was thoroughly and my care provider answered the many questions/concerns I had. Her assistant was extremely helpful as well in writing down all the info I needed, etc. Great team!

Visited for carcinoma found on an arm. I tried to articulate that I was massively sunburned at least weekly for at least 10 years while living in New Mexico, and I wanted to understand the risks. The Doctor (Dunn) didn’t listen, barely acknowledged my presence, looked and talked far more to the PA in training, and barely looked at me while pronouncing with great certainty that I most certainly could not have more cancerous spots. He might have looked at 30-40% of my body, given the whole 30 seconds he even tried, it was probably more like 20%. At least the PA wondered aloud whether we should check my legs, though she did not. He didn’t really explain anything, so I left with way more questions than when I arrived. The PA did somewhat, and the nurse was very clear and helpful regarding the treatment - the Dr said nothing except to name a cream I knew nothing about. The PA did articulate 3 treatment options, but when the doctor blew through he simply chose one of them without discussion or explanation. Granted, it was what I would have chosen, without the implied condescension that he should choose for me. The doctor might be fantastic and brilliant, but his personal interaction was dismissive, condescending and downright rude. The rest of the staff, especially the nurse (Kim) were quite good, and the PA will likely be quite good, but already her interaction skills were barely adequate, and working and learning from the doctor I fear she’ll get worse. Please, medical doctors: don’t forget we’re people first. Not charts or subjects to be ignored, while you narrowly focus on what you know to be right, whether true or not. You aren’t actually superior, just because you’re a doctor, or because you save lives. That’s great, and I thank you for your service, but you’re treating a full human being, not a diagnosis.
