This rating isn't necessarily for Spokane Eye clinic as a whole, but rather the wonderful medical records representative that helped me today! I was following up on a prior authorization for my son, but was somehow transferred to Cynthia. She easily could have transferred me to someone else in a different department. But she stayed on the line with me until she was able to get the information I was looking for as well as get a message to the office of the doctor I'd been waiting to hear back from. Awesome customer service and wonderful human interaction. GREAT JOB CYNTHIA!!
This surgery experience was much better than my first one! If this was just for certain people I’d give 5 stars but unfortunately due to a horrible and barbaric first surgery experience I’m not able to give 5 stars. The first one was barbaric and the anesthesiologist disregarded my patient rights, wishes, and my allergies. He also came in with a very judgmental attitude. This time the nurse anesthetist, Jeremey was great! Pretty sure he had me knocked out before I was wheeled to the OR because he truly listened to me, my concerns, and saw/heard about my severe anxiety from medical trauma in the past. All of the nurses were amazing but Lynne, she was in the operating room with me was incredible! And Hailey (I think my nurse before surgery) stayed in the room and prayed with the surgeon, my mom and myself when I requested a pause for prayer and that meant the world to me. Dr. Andersen is hands down the most compassionate doctor and surgeon I have ever met, and that’s saying a lot in my 62 surgeries :) I know I’m a complicated patient but this time I really felt heard and seen! If I ever need a retina specialist in the future (I sure hope I don’t) even if I moved, I would come back to see Dr.Andersen! I would recommend him to anyone friends/family and anyone who needed it! I’d also like to shout out Dr.Riley for seeing me and getting me into Dr. Andersen urgently when I originally detached my retina he was so compassionate and so patient! Also a shout out to Dr.Absolonson and his two assistants for the incredible compassion and patience they had with me when I went in for a new prescription after my buckle surgery for my detached retina and was beyond anxious. The glasses department other than Lynne sucks! And promises have been broken over and over and it’s pretty disappointing. Thank you to everyone who has actually helped! 💜
It was a very positive experience. They were attentive to every need right up to a warm blanket because i got chilly. Each step was explained so i was comfortable with the entire procedure. Afterwards they were very attentive to my being stable and ready to leave safely. I am very happy with the results and thank them for helping to better my life.
Dr. Allar, the eye surgeon, did an excellent job of removing the cataract from my left eye, and inserting a multi focal lens into it. Two weeks after the surgery, my near and distant vision are extremely improved. Also, I am very pleased with the efficiency of the post-operative instructions. The cataract was removed from my right eye one day ago, and a multi focal lens that will correct for astigmatism was inserted. If my right eye heals in the same time frame as my left eye, then I anticipate the same remarkable improvement in vision in my right eye by the end of next week.
Dr. Skoog and the entire staff at the Surgery Center were great. I understood everything that was going to take place and had clear instructions for post-op. They were all very kind and helpful. I will be having my second surgery in less than 2 weeks and I feel confident that my next experience will be just as good as my first.
