Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

You’re just a number here. They don’t care about you at all. Didinski did two surgery’s on my back and they both failed. I went somewhere else and they were shocked that he even did one surgery. They said they would have NEVER operated on me. Since I was unable to work I wasn’t able to pay my bills on time. I tried to set up a payment plan and they laughed at me. Now I have a collection agency calling me. All so he could put premium in his Porsche. Please do not go here. Please do some research and go somewhere else. For back problems go to Cyril Philip in Kenosha. He’s the best and they won’t charge you an insane amount of money. Since Wisconsin specialty is a “surgery center” they can bill the insurance more for injections and normal stuff they can do at a regular doctor office. Just go somewhere else please

My nurse did not look at my chart leaving me to ensure my own quality of care. My chart states that I get extremely nauseous and need a sickness patch to control the nausea after surgery. My chart also states that I cannot have a hand IV, my nurse came in the insert the IV and grabbed my hand. This gave me a panic attach and raised my blood pressure. Although my doctor was great, I felt rushed when my 1.5 hour late surgery was going to start, my nerve block felt rushed. It seemed as though the anesthesiologist wanted to get in and complete the block regardless of the amount of pain I had from the gigantic needle. After my surgery, the nurse did not call my mom back. Since I didn’t have a family member with me, I felt as though the nursing staff wanted to get rid of me. I woke up to two nurses hurriedly putting my clothes on. I was in extreme pain and stated that this is being rushed and that I needed medication for pain. I finally was so upset that I assertively said to get my mom. So, from the time the nurses woke me up pushed my out the door was less than 10 minutes. I’ve had many surgeries at this institution; however, since the surgery center was placed under new management, the quality of care has drastically declined.

My nurse Lisa was absolutely amazing! So caring and supportive. My anesthesiologist Tony was great as well. Was so helpful and encouraging when I was getting my nerve block and just in general! Dr. Engel was absolutely amazing as well, he was honest and didn’t leave any detail out about my surgery! I never been treated so amazingly. Front desk staff was great as well! The best experience I have ever received. I can’t thank them enough!

Went in for ankle surgery and couldn't have had better care. The nurses were always checking on me and the anesthesiologist Tony was so personable and made my experience very stress free. I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone needing to get surgery. They also were very accommodating to my boyfriend who was driving me to and from and did an amazing job explaining what they were doing and what to expect from the procedure.
