Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Been dealing with pain for 3 years due to an injury. I had been told it was SI joint dysfunction for so long after seeing different physicians. Finally this year I had enough. So I went in to see Dr. Vo originally, but my MRI showed a more serious issue so I met with Dr. Paul Johnson. Dr. Johnson is one of the best doctors I’ve ever met. He is so kind and was thorough about going over my issue and what we could do about it. Not only that, but he was able to get me in a week from my appointment for my surgery because I expressed how tired I was of dealing with this for so long. I couldn’t stand for more than 2 minutes and yet alone walk. I was very nervous going in for my microdiscectomy. I’m 26 and have never had surgery. The surgical team introduced themselves and explained the procedure to me. They were very caring and patient. I woke up in the recovery room after and was well taken care of. I am now one week post op and walked a mile yesterday. I will never be able to thank Dr. Johnson and his team enough for giving me my life back. This is a great facility with incredible doctors and staff that you can trust.

Dr Foley is excellent at what he does. He had a great team here too. I have the smoothest surgical experience I could have imagined possible. Not typical I’m sure with this but I had zero post surgical pain or discomfort. If I closed my eyes I couldn’t tell which one had surgery based on feeling alone when not moving. Amazing! Would recommend them to anyone.

I should have had my knee replacement probably 2 years ago, but I didn't out of fear. I waited until I couldn't walk before seeking out Dr. Kelly. After now having the replacement done I realize I should have had it done long ago. Dr. Kelly and his team are great. The surgery center is also great. I'm on week 2 of my procedure and everyday I'm getting stronger and feeling better. I'm very much looking forward to no more limp, or pain and getting on with my very active life.

This is the 2nd time I've been to Orthopedics of Wisconsin for a hip surgery. 2019 I had my right hip replaced and now in 2025 I had my left hip replaced. Both times I had a great experience. My first hip replacement in 2019 is a 100% better with no complications and expect my second to be the same. It's only been 7 days since my second surgery. I like the daily text messages I get from Dr. Bongs office of encouragement and reminding to do certain things
