Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Be Careful using North Shore Surgical Suites. I had a procedure done 2 years ago. Almost 2 years later I received another bill and was told I have to pay. Not very professional in my opinion.

Staff was spectacular! Came in on their day off (at 5 a.m.) to to do a surgical procedure after AC went out the day before and handled us with warmth and professionalism to do an elective to fix a painful issue. Great team ! Highly recommend them!!!

Show up time was 10:30am...surgery scheduled for noon....it's now 2:10pm and no surgery yet....Nursing staff kind and professional but seriously if you don't want to wait around and having no one explain why...go somewhere else.

Staff was wonderful! All very helpful and attentive answering any and all questions my wife or I had. The best possible experience considering the circumstances. They just need an outdoor bench for the waiting family to go outside if they wish.
