I had a good experience during preop. The nurse was super attentive & through about their process. They were running behind for my surgery which isn’t a big deal. It happens. I’m a bedside nurse myself. Post op I woke up in horrible pain. The nurse (Rhonda) gave me oral pain meds & I was crying in pain. Obviously annoyed & on verge of being exasperated she asked “what can I do for you?” I asked if I could have IV pain meds. She came back promptly & pushed the dilaudid IV within seconds. It’s supposed to be pushed 2-3 minutes for good reasons. I immediately threw up. then she came back to give me IV anti-nausea med. The only time she was kind to me was helping me into the passenger seat of my car ride. I've worked 12 years at bedside & i have never treated any of my patients like they were a bother. I just came out from surgery & anesthesia I’m sorry I was such a nuisance. Such a lack of compassion is disgusting, especially my own profession.
When you seek care for your kiddos it’s nerve racking as a parent because you want them to be understood and treated kindly and with patience. My 5 year old had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy this week and I am very pleased with each and every one who cared for him during the process. From the very beginning, they allowed him to bring his stuffed dinosaur and had tactful strategies to make everything as easy and smooth as possible for the kiddo. Not everyone you come across in the medical profession has patience and compassion for children so I am so grateful for every single staff member who was on his care team this day. Everyone we ever came across met us with a smile as well.
Was here for my 5 year old and had such kind staff. The nurses and what they dealt with after our son was waking up was a lot and they handled it with grace and never made us feel bad. They said it was a normal reaction. These nurses work so hard and deal with so much and could not believe how kind they all were and understanding. The dr Leonard from ent was the best and kindest Dr we have ever had and so down to earth. 10/10 would tell anyone with kids with tonsil issues to go to him.
Had knee replacement. I was so impressed with the care I received and the friendly caring staff I actually booked my other knee surgery while I was in recovery. So nice if you don't have to go to a hospital if possible. I just feel there's less of a chance of infection with less sick people around.
From the time I checked in to the time I left, I really felt comfortable. All of the staff are friendly and compassionate. They really listened to me when I said I was a difficult IV stick and the anesthesiologist came right out to help. They kept me comfortable during and after surgery. They also called to check on me a couple days later and sent a nice card!
