There policys are awful. They wont let loved ones be with patients. and force them against there will to wait in waiting room. You have concernes about patients saftey and your loved ones saftey and cant be there to see what they are doing to him/her. don't go here.
Avoid this place at all costs. I was told I had to pay my full deductible up front before I could have my surgery. I have never before in my life had to do this. Now the insurance company doesn’t think I paid that and I’m getting bills from other providers even though my maximum out of pocket expenses have been met. Numerous calls to the insurance company and Northwoods Surgery Center have not resolved the issue. This has caused me a lot stress and frustration.
I was scheduled to have cataract surgery today and my lens was not there. Around 12:30 I was sent to the Redman Eye Clinic to see another doctor. He graciously accepted me as a patient. He scheduled me for 11:00. Got a call from surgery center saying I will be scheduled at 7:15am. My husband had his scheduled for tomorrow at 8:30am. We were told somebody would pick us up and bring us back to our hotel. The doctor told us that we can drive there and get a ride back to motel. My anxiety and stress is to the point of no return. I'm angry and frustrated. The perk is they are reimbursing us a one night stay. We decided on a motel because we live 2 1/2 hours away.
Everything from check in to realease was great. Appreciate everyone's help and concern. Dr. Balas was very careful with the procedure that had to be done. Was very comfortable here.
My procedure was done at the Northwoods Surgery Center where Scott and Sharon(anesthesiologist and nurse) argued over who was going to sterilize my knee replacement equipment. As it turned out neither of them must have done it because I developed a severe infection. I had to endure an emergency room visit after the incision completely exploded. My advice is to avoid Doctor Tadych and the Northwoods Surgery Center. Oh, Doctor Tadych is part owner of the Northwoods Surgery Center.
