Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.
Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

I just had a spinal injection done today for my lower lumbar ruptured discs L4 & L5 & after a previous traumatic after care from knee surgery I was frightened for any procedure. I want to start by saying KIM the RN I was mostly with is an amazing employee & gem for this facility. Not only is she extremely personable but as someone who has worked in extremely fast paced environments, I watched run her run circles around other employees helping exceeding & not show one sign of distress back on the patients or staff. She did not miss or forget the slightest things even asking for beverages after waking up & giving me a container for my jewelry removal. Not to mention being extremely personal able & professional she did a great job on her phlebotomy incision & made me feel extremely comfortable & safe. Doctor Scott was similar I didn’t spend as much time with him awake but really great team at this location. I didn’t catch the anesthesiologist names I was assigned with a but he too was a genuine good hearted professional worker. I don’t write reviews often but I really was impressed after all the stress & employee mishaps after my knee surgery (completely different facility of course this is a spine institute) I had to take the time to mention Kim especially & the other great doctors at this surgery center. Thank you guys keep up the great energy & precision.

I visited this facility for spine surgery on the 3rd of March 2017. The staff were friendly and very passionate about their work. They made me feel at home and as if I belong. They prepared me for surgery and each person introduced themselves and what was their purpose for being there. Surgery went well which took about 3 hrs. I was up and about with lots of pain which was expected. Due to the nature of the surgery, I was pleased that I able to walk even for a short distance. Staff was there to help me with my walking and kept me in good spirits. They made sure my meds were on time and kept in touch with the surgeon DR. DUANE PITT. With his instructions, I was able to return to my hotel within 4hrs of the procedure. They gave me the nessasary instructions for treating the wound correctly, to speed the healing process . Thanks to this team, I am making a speedy recovery. Hope this facility can keep providing excellent care, and efficient service.
