Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

ColonoscopyA flexible camera examines the full length of the colon to screen for cancer and remove polyps before they become cancerous. Done under sedation, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. The bowel prep the day before is the part most patients find hardest.Upper Endoscopy (EGD)A thin camera passed through the mouth examines the esophagus, stomach, and the first part of the small intestine. Used to investigate persistent heartburn, difficulty swallowing, unexplained bleeding, or abdominal pain. Usually takes 15 to 30 minutes under sedation.Flexible SigmoidoscopyExamines the lower portion of the colon only, rather than its full length. Preparation is lighter than a full colonoscopy and sedation is sometimes unnecessary, but it cannot detect problems higher in the colon.Capsule EndoscopyYou swallow a vitamin-sized camera that photographs the small intestine as it passes through — a region that standard scopes cannot easily reach. There is no sedation and no recovery. The capsule passes naturally, and images are reviewed after the fact.ERCPCombines endoscopy and X-ray imaging to diagnose and treat blockages in the bile and pancreatic ducts, most often gallstones stuck in a duct. Unlike a routine endoscopy, it carries a meaningful risk of pancreatitis afterward, so it is used when treatment is likely rather than for screening alone.Hemorrhoid TreatmentShrinks or removes swollen veins in the rectum and anus using rubber band ligation, injection, or surgical removal depending on severity. Banding is quick and typically requires no anesthesia; surgical removal is more effective for advanced cases but recovery is noticeably more uncomfortable.

The worst place ever!! I fasted for 3 days, took the nasty solution. When arrived on time, they said they can’t do the procedure unless I have a driver which I don’t have. I offered I stay to stay as long as I’m ok but they refused. Never again with them.

We had no issues with their medical services. But their billing processes are extremely vague and misleading. The day of my husband’s procedure we paid an $850 copay in April. We got one paper bill in July for our remaining amount due. In September we got a letter from a collection agency that our balance due had been sent to collections. When I called the endoscopy center to try and get some information on a bill breakdown (which they had never sent us) and why they sent us to collections immediately - they simply stated their internal process is to send to collections after sending 3 statements. A quick google search of California law will show you that this is illegal and 180 days from the first bill is the requirement. My guess is they write the unpaid bills off as a loss for taxes. They were also just extremely hard to get ahold of in general. I would recommend going somewhere with fair and legal billing practices and with better communication.

I was a bit blown away by how friendly and welcoming the staff / nurses were and how easy and efficient my endoscopy was! The place was super organized and it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend it!

I recently had an endoscopy done here which went very smoothly form start to finish. Every single member of the care team was kind and competent , starting at the front desk and including the nursing staff, the anaesthesiologist who came to explain the sedation, and Nancy Ho MD , my gastroenterologist. I left with a copy of my results and detailed discharge instructions. A totally stress free experience.

By far the worse healthcare facility in terms of booking appointments and being respectful to patients. I booked an appointment for upper endoscopy a month in advance and they called 2 days prior to the procedure and asked to push it 30 minutes later. I shared that the person who picks me up cannot make it anymore but they insisted that my doctor needs me to come 30 minutes later. Talked with my doctor, he said that’s not an ask from his side. This back and forth conversation, wasted an hour and half from my working day. At the end, it turned out facility’s staff didn’t want to come at work at 7am hence were pushing me to reschedule. The scheduller didn’t even apologize but rather her tone was as if I’m an inconvenience to them. Ask your doctor to refer you to a another better facility where you are treated with respect.
