Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

Dr. Harris is wonderful. He saved my life! My odds of making it through an emergency surgery were very slim. He's very patient and kind. I would recommend him to anybody!

Thank you Dr. Griffin for taking care of me. The surgery he performed was awesome. He explained everything to me before the surgery and after the procedure was done he explained everything to my husband everything that I needed to do. The surgery was a success and it fixed a lot of issues that I had going on. I call my incisions battle wounds and they are healing quickly and the ones that are small incisions are starting to fade away. The bigger incision is healing great. If you need a surgeon I would recommend him to anybody. Thanks again Dr. Griffin.

Dr. Barry Harris is amazing. He is caring and compassionate. He was thorough and got my gallbladder out successfully and was happy he could help me get out of pain! Tanner’s nurses at outpatient surgery were really nice too. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Dr. Espinel is by far one of the best surgeons I have ever encountered. I had 5 previous surgeries by 5 other surgeons before Dr. Espinel performed a cholecystectomy on me and I have to say he has been the most amazing, educated, thorough, caring, and interested surgeon I have ever had. He reviewed all my medical history with me which allowed me to see that he had been invested in my health issue before meeting me, he then explained my situation in detail so that I had a thorough understanding of what it means to have gallbladder issues, he then explained all the possible risks and outcomes when surgery was introduced into the conversation so that I knew exactly what I was about to experience. Lastly, he made sure that I was able to have a say in my own health decisions which many doctors do not do these days. His office was prompt at scheduling and making sure that all my pre and post operative questions and concerns were attended to and answered. He is an invested surgeon. If you have the pleasure of being cared for by Dr. Espinel, you are in very good hands.

I had my surgery the day after Christmas 2019. Dr Griffin removed about half of my stomach. I have recovered better than I could have hoped for. I’m very pleased with Dr Griffin and the other surgeons that helped or visited me. I highly recommend Dr Griffin and this group!
