Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

Dr Spellman was very pleasant, friendly and attentive to what he was about to do. He made feel comfortable by explaining what he was about to do. His staff also performed their services in that same manner. Thank you so much for the service that you and your staff provided me. I feel 💯 percent better, and whole again.

This is an awesome Surgical Center. From the time we arrived until after my knee replacement surgery we were met with smiling faces! Such professional and knowledgeable people. Treated with loving care, and everything explained to my satisfaction. Dr Wolverton and staff were excellent. Made my experience exceptional. Would definitely recommend and use this facility in the future.

Dr. Spellman was wonderful but the office staff sent 4 patients health information to the surgical team without our names on them! They had to match health histories with each individual patient. They insisted that I had a latex allergy . I finally convinced her that wasn’t my health information.
