Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I’ve always been terrified of surgery but my surgery here w Dr Koopman was good. The surgery was before 7 so not being able to eat/drink beforehand was not a problem, the anthesia was great, the operation was successful, and I healed up quickly

I had a wonderful experience here. The staff members supporting my urologist and surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Norris, were excellent in every respect - friendly, professional, reassuring, efficient. Some of those who cared for me were Sunita, Troy, Karla, Maria and Frankie. I highly recommend Dr. Norris and the Uropartners Surgery Center.

I'm not exactly sure why there are low reviews on this place. I had a cystoscopy with stent insertion for a large kidney stone. My Physician/surgeon was Dr. Scott Tiplitsky. He is awesome guy! There were so many people that I met that day of surgery i can't remember the names. I apologize. When I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist which she was wonderful. No issues with her whatsoever. When I was checked in I was greeted by two nurses which again were wonderful. I then met with the anesthesiologist. She went over everything with me. Reassured that everything was going to be fine and that I was in good hands. Something you hear all the time. But it was all true! I had never had surgery before. So, of course I was nervous. I got the surgery and came out of anesthesia. No more pain than when I came in. I waited around a little while for the anaesthesia to wear off. While that was happening, two times nurses cam in to check on me. I was prescribed antibiotics and pain meds. I took all the antibiotics. And took only one pain pill. Dr. Scott Tiplitsky and the staff were great to me. And to the other patients. I could hear them checking up on other people in the pre/post op area. Today I got my stent removed and again he was nothing short of being professional! He answered all my questions through out the whole ordeal. He is someone I would highly recommend!

I was extremely nervous about a biopsy procedure. All of my fears were unfounded. I would be hard pressed to find a more organized and courteous group of people. From the admitting process through the procedure and discharge I couldn't have been treated better. Very compassionate staff and doctors. Very professional and reassuring at all levels.

I was there yesterday for minor surgery. It was my first time going under anesthesia and I was nervous. I can be difficult to draw blood from or insert an IV. My nurse was friendly and gentle, she did a fabulous job and got the IV in on the first try. The nurse anesthetist listened to my concerns regarding my red hair, sensitive stomach, and heart burn I had been experiencing before surgery. She explained what she’d do to help me. I woke up from surgery feeling great, no nausea, heartburn, or grogginess. Dr. Norris was kind and helpful and to the best of my knowledge did a fine job. All in all I had a good experience. I was anxious and all of the staff was diligent about my comfort and easing my nerves.
