Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

AWESOME experience…A+!!! Genuine 5–Star, from my check-in with Ms. Dajae Dickson…to the fabulous services of my nurse, Mrs. Lisa O’Donnell. I must attest that their sterling professionalism and care began BEFORE my check-in, telephonically! So the follow-up to my surgery date was amazing, beyond reproach. Any unsettledness that I had was removed well before the actual surgery with their attention-to-detail, kindness, and Respect for me as their patient. I felt fully assured that my surgery would be successful, without a hitch…AND IT WAS! Thanks Much…Lisa, Dejae, DR. TRACEY my Surgeon, to include the entire surgery staff and staff at DSC! My Prayers were answered and I loud applaud you for taking care of me! I do hope that Lisa/Dejae/Dr. Tracey (and my anesthesiologist, can’t remember name…) are recognized grandly for their efforts and outstanding service. God Bless…

Absolutely wonderful experience. Everyone I interacted with was great. The nurses were amazing. The anesthesiologist was incredible. Everyone listened to me every step of the way and ensured we had great communication. I would absolutely come back and do surgery here again.

Once inside, the experience was very comforting. The nursing staff were very caring, asking if I was comfortable or needing anything. Most importantly, the surgical process was seamless. I always felt I was in good and capable hands. My only suggestion is that there should be some privacy during the check-in process. Lots of questions asked including payment information which may be PII and/or PHI protected. Thank you!

Had a wrist ganglion cyst excision there. Everything went fine. The frontdesk, the nurses, everyone was very nice and accomodating. I had a wonderful surgeon who I'll review separately. I was self-paying because of out of network and the center quoted a reasonable price, I found it affordable. I went with local anestesia and did not feel a thing. The full sedation would surely cost more, takes more time, and also would require fasting and arranging someone to be with me all day. I was worrying about waking up dead or with a different gender. I don't trust my lifeless body with American healthcare. With local I was in at 7am and out at 9am, very nice! Undressing in the corridor in front of everyone behind the curtain feels akward, it is not for shy people. There was a small price transparency hiccup, like, "we can give you a sling but we don't know how much it costs (!), so you'll receive a bill for it later", oh well. Overall, good, would recommend

From start to finish, the best experience I’ve ever had. Front desk was amazing and let us in before the doors opened at 0530. Amira, RN had the best personality and displayed utmost professionalism throughout pre and post op. She was absolutely amazing and explained everything in detail to alleviate any anxiety one may have. Dr. Shea, anesthesiologist, was incredible. Dr Tracey is the best orthopedic surgeon anyone could ever ask for. His bedside manner and surgical skills are unequivocally the best of the best. Thank you everyone for making my hip replacement a very positive experience.
