Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Epidural Steroid InjectionsSteroid medication is injected near irritated spinal nerve roots to calm inflammation causing sciatica or arm pain. Often used to make physical therapy tolerable rather than as a standalone cure. There are limits on how frequently they can be repeated.Nerve Block InjectionsAnesthetic, sometimes with steroid, is injected around a specific nerve to interrupt pain signals. Used both to treat pain and to identify its source, since relief from a precisely placed block points to the nerve responsible.Radiofrequency AblationHeat generated by radio waves disables the small nerves carrying pain signals from an arthritic spinal joint. Relief commonly lasts six months to two years. Because the nerves regenerate over time, the procedure can be repeated.Spinal Cord StimulationA device delivers mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord to interrupt chronic pain signals before they reach the brain. A temporary trial period is done first, so you can judge the benefit before committing to a permanent implant.Joint InjectionsSteroid or lubricating medication is injected directly into an arthritic or inflamed joint. Image guidance is often used to confirm placement. Relief typically lasts weeks to months and can make physical therapy more productive.Trigger Point InjectionsA local anesthetic is injected into a taut, tender knot of muscle to break the spasm-and-pain cycle. The appointment takes minutes and you can usually return to normal activity the same day.

I have had a great experience with Innovations Surgery Center and Dr. Danilyants! They were able to schedule me for a consultation quickly and I had my surgery scheduled a few weeks later. All of the staff I worked with were incredibly kind and knowledgeable and I felt that I was in great hands the whole time. The surgery went well and recovery was quick (only a few days). I would highly recommend Innovations Surgery Center!

Changed my life!  After more than a decade of chronic pain and suffering, I called CIGC. They listened to my symptoms and made a diagnosis of adenomyosis.  Within a month they had completed my partial hysterectomy using DualPort technology.  It was an outpatient procedure. I did not experience any complications in recovery. I was able to walk around the same day, and I noticed a significant change in being able to move from a lying position to a standing/sitting position in about a week. I used to dip into anemia each month due to blood loss blood. I got sick 2-3 times a month with viruses and infections. I had chronic lower back pain and severe pelvic pain that left me asking my husband to push on my back as though I was in labor. I was often fatigued.  Over the years, I had been to every kind of medical and naturopathic professional that I could find.  I had so many blood tests done...so many blood tests. I would just cry and laugh and tell people that when I had my C-section, the doctors must have put my insides back in incorrectly. Nothing seemed to work right anymore. Now the symptoms are gone. Like magic. Dr. MacKoul said my uterus was about 3x the size it should have been due to adenomyosis. They were patient. They were kind. They answered all my questions.  Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even just to call to get a second opinion. Gather as much information as you can, and make sure you are covered by insurance so you don't have any extra worries throughout the process.  I feel like I got my life back in so many ways. Like magic.

⚠️ Warning: Avoid Innovation Surgical Center ⚠️ I would strongly advise anyone considering Innovation Surgical Center to run in the opposite direction. I was never informed that they were out-of-network with my insurance. Despite having both primary and secondary insurance coverage, they sent me a bill for an outrageous $130,000. When I contacted my insurance company, I was told that Innovation Surgical Center never submitted complete medical documentation. Instead, they submitted the same line items three different times with three different amounts—a highly suspicious and unacceptable practice. This feels like nothing short of a scam. No transparency, no accountability, and an attempt to saddle patients with massive, unjustified bills. My advice: stay far away from Innovation Surgical Center. Protect yourself, your health, and your finances.

After more than a decade of seeing doctors who dismissed my health issues, gaslit me, and prescribed multiple birth control pills that only exacerbated my symptoms, it was an absolute GODSEND to find Doctor Danilyants. In the initial consultation, "Dr. D" listened to my concerns, making me feel validated and understood, and was 100% on board with performing a hysterectomy to put me out of my monthly misery. Her scheduling team was a dream to work with: they contacted me soon after the consultation, were flexible with finding a surgery date that was convenient for all parties involved, and patiently answered my questions. I also appreciated that, in the weeks leading up to the procedure, the nurses were communicative and contacted me when they said they would, especially as I eagerly awaited the pre-op call. On the day of the surgery, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel special, from the first staff member we encountered upon arrival (Jasmine) to all of the incredible nurses taking care of me before, during, and after the hysterectomy (a special shout-out to Lisa, Odette, and Ivy - you are absolute angels - and to anyone I forgot, please know I appreciate you, too!) Lisa went out of her way to take care of my very cranky self in the recovery room, bringing me cranberry juice and crackers, and taking me to the bathroom many, many times. I received a call from one of the nurses on the Monday after my Friday surgery to see how I was feeling - and was also able to promptly schedule my post-op appointment with Dr. D for two weeks out. While I'm sad that I'm running out of organs and therefore reasons to see her, I truly am so grateful for this entire experience, from the initial consultation to the long-awaited removal of the surgical tape, and everything in between (well, minus the pain, but it was more than worth it). Bottom line: not only is Dr. D highly compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly proficient at her job, she also employs a team who embody those qualities as well. I truly cannot say enough nice things about Innovations Surgery Center or the staff who made it possible for me to live out my health-related dream. I highly recommend Dr. D and the Innovations Surgery Center to anyone in a similar situation with their reproductive health. Five stars and counting - THANK YOU!
