Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Knee ArthroscopyA camera and small instruments are inserted through incisions the size of a buttonhole to repair cartilage, trim a torn meniscus, or remove loose fragments. Because the joint is not opened fully, recovery is far faster than traditional open knee surgery.Shoulder ArthroscopyUses a small camera and instruments through tiny incisions to repair the shoulder joint — commonly for impingement, labral tears, or damaged cartilage. Most patients go home the same day and begin physical therapy within the first week.ACL ReconstructionRebuilds the torn anterior cruciate ligament using a graft, since a fully torn ACL does not heal on its own. The surgery itself is outpatient, but returning to cutting and pivoting sports typically takes nine to twelve months of structured rehabilitation.Rotator Cuff RepairReattaches torn tendons in the shoulder to the bone. Pain relief often comes well before strength does — a sling is typical for several weeks and full recovery commonly takes four to six months, with physical therapy doing much of the work.Carpal Tunnel ReleaseCuts the ligament pressing on the median nerve at the wrist to relieve numbness, tingling, and night pain in the hand. The procedure takes about 15 minutes under local anesthesia. Night symptoms often improve immediately; grip strength returns over several weeks.Joint ReplacementDamaged joint surfaces are replaced with implants, most commonly at the knee or hip. Once exclusively a hospital procedure, selected healthy patients now have this done at surgery centers and go home the same day with a structured recovery plan.

I can't say enough great things about this facility and the care I received. From the moment I walked in the front door until I returned to my car, everything was seamless and organized. Every single, employee was friendly, professional and caring. My appointment was on time, and I honestly don't think there is anything I could say that needs improving. This is a top notch facility in every way.

I recently had a microdiscetomy at EOSC. Everyone from check-in, to pre-op, surgery, and post-op were super welcoming and attentive. At every step in the process, they went out of their way to carefully explain things and make sure that any questions I had were fully answered. It was clear in talking with my surgeon beforehand that this was a surgery that he (and others at EOSC) regularly did so my confidence level was high. My post-surgery recovery was exactly as was explained with very little pain the first couple days and just a bit more pain in days three and four, but very tolerable. I was walking around the house on day 2 and had transitioned to outdoors on day 4 for 2x of 10 minutes. Definitely restrictions on bending, lifting, and twisting so be prepared to have help around the house. Very happy with my decision to use EOSC for this procedure! SO to Maryn and Alecya for their professionalism and high level of service.
