this place is crap. changing doctors is almost impossible cause they take the doctors side of why you want to change. I had a doctor tell my husband he had cancer cells in his blood but weren't worried about it. I cant even get a referral to any doctors cause i get told the dr. feels uncomfortable doing so cause i don't come in often yet when i had apts regular they kept rescheduling. So useless in the care they provide.

They were running a little behind so Dr Earhart came to the waiting room to get me himself and did my vitals to help with patient flow! Love him to pieces. He cares so much for his patients.

I have been going to WH for over 10 years. I never have to wait long. The doctors and PAs have always been awesome. All my doctors but one is with WH. I like that because they can easily see how all the other doctors and PAs are treating me.

I went in last week as I have been a patient there for seven years and it’s been documented in the records that I do not have any allergies. When I went in, I was not told what I was going to be given by prescription and when I got the prescriptions after I got home, I was unhappily surprised. The allergy medicines, nasal sprays, expectorant cough medicine could have all been purchased over-the-counter. Needless to say, I took those because I was not feeling well and my ears were hurting. Two days later, I couldn’t stand the earache and I emailed the doctor at the Urgent Care there who I’ve seen a couple of times. I won’t mention his name, but he prescribed me prednisone for the earache. I did not feel better. In fact, I felt worse. I decided to go to Star Medical as a walk-in because I had excruciating pain and my email that I had sent to Wilmington Medical telling them to prescribe me something was not responded to until that afternoon and they had asked that I go in again. By that time I had been prescribed strong antibiotics and a very good cough medicine by Star Medical. I actually felt better the next day and most importantly my earaches were gone! I think I am done with Wilmington Medical. In the past four years, two of my primary providers have retired or resigned. I think for now, I will stick to Star Medical because they really took care of me and despite the long wait, I was very happy with them. Wilmington Medical has to stop diagnosing their patients with allergies. I have been tested numerous times there and I have no allergies. I don’t like to overuse antibiotics and usually take care of my symptoms at home but when it’s an earache, that’s a different story. By the way, Wilmington Medical charged me twice as much as Star Medical. They are not worth the extra money. As a teacher for many years, I know that bad administration has driven away many good teachers. The same goes for a medical facility with bad management. I’m wondering if doctors are pressured to administer certain pharmacies drugs owned by big pharmaceutical companies, such as allergy medicines rather than curing the patients correctly. This is probably why there is such a big turnover of staff at Wilmington Medical. Treat your doctors and staff batter and allow them to diagnose their patients correctly and freely.

I just moved from out of state.. My very first visit. Excellent. Everyone was kind and very professional. 10/14/25 I wanted to add that I had a mammogram and lab work done today. My mammogram tech was excellent. Very kind and sweet and my lab tech was excellent. I’m usually a hard stick, but I didn’t feel a thing and she got it on the 1st try.
