Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Cataract SurgeryThe clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with a clear artificial one. It is one of the most common outpatient procedures performed in the country, usually takes under 30 minutes per eye, and is done under light sedation with numbing drops rather than general anesthesia.LASIK / Refractive SurgeryA laser reshapes the cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism, reducing dependence on glasses or contacts. The procedure itself takes minutes per eye. Vision is often noticeably better within a day, though it can take several weeks to fully stabilize.Glaucoma SurgeryCreates a new drainage path for fluid inside the eye to lower internal pressure. Glaucoma damages the optic nerve silently, so the goal is preventing further vision loss rather than restoring vision already lost. Several minimally invasive options are now performed in outpatient settings.Retinal SurgeryRepairs the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye, most often for a detached or torn retina, or for bleeding related to diabetes. Timing matters — a detaching retina is treated urgently because delay increases the risk of permanent vision loss.Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)Removes excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. When drooping upper lids block part of the visual field, the procedure is functional rather than cosmetic and is often covered by insurance if visual field testing documents the obstruction.Corneal TransplantReplaces damaged or clouded corneal tissue with donor tissue. Modern techniques often replace only the affected layer rather than the full thickness, which shortens recovery. Vision improves gradually over months, and stitches may stay in place for a year or longer.

As all of the reviews have stated, this is the model of customer service. EVERYONE goes the extra mile to ensure your experience is comfortable. I’ve had 5+ appointments as of this writing and the latest they have made me wait was 1 minute! Efficiency! Think of ReVision as the Chic Fil A of the medical industry. I highly recommend this business. Quality care with superb customer service.

The entire team at Revision was excellent. I had two superficial keratectomy procedures ( both eyes) to remove nodules that were blurring my vision - even with glasses. Dr. Litzinger was wonderful and has a great " chair side manner". I will return at some point for cataract surgery and would definitely recommend the facility! The whole team made me feel comfortable and at ease. And thank you Andrew too!

So thankful for this amazing team who truly went above and beyond to give me a great surgical experience! Starting with a warm, friendly welcoming from the First Impressions team, to a thorough and informative work up by Cindy, and an in depth education about surgery from Lindsay, the clinic experience was smooth from start to finish. On the day of my surgery, Amy gave me clear and concise expectations for after surgery, then Sam took me back into the pre op area to get me ready for the OR - she was such a warm and comforting presence in what could have easily been a very stressful environment! In the OR, the whole team is so prepared and professional and truly worked in unison to provide a seamless experience. And then wrapping up the experience in post op was Andrew, who is the exact calm and soft spoken personality you’d want right after surgery. What a great team, and great experience from top to bottom. So thankful for expertise of Dr. Litzinger and his team, and that I chose to have surgery at ReVision!

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes. From my first phone call to make an appointment for the consultation, to the eye exams, surgeries and post-op appointments, I have nothing but praise and appreciation for the wonderful care that I received! Everyone.... and I mean EVERYONE on the Columbus ReVision team... was so kind, patient, compassionate, and helpful. The gals at the reception desk - Kennedy, Angela, and Theresa - were so friendly and responded quickly whenever I called in with questions. Dr. Litzinger carefully explained my options before my surgery and Lindsay was so helpful in clarifying the pre- and post-op instructions for me. I never once felt nervous about the upcoming procedures and felt like I was in good hands. Linda was so welcoming when I checked in for my surgeries. The surgical staff was amazing, too! When I was getting prepped for my first surgery, I mentioned that my birthday was the next day. Imagine my surprise when I found a "Happy Birthday" card signed by the surgical team in my little take home bag! Wow!! I told Dr Litzinger that I was so touched by that sweet gesture and it was obvious to me that he has instilled wonderful customer service practices into his staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Litzinger and ReVision for Lasik or Cataract surgery.

Exceptional best describes the quality of care from this practice. I accompanied my mother to all of her appointments and both surgeries. Team members across front desk, finance, procedure education, and all aspects of clinical care were all consistently welcoming, professional, compassionate, and delightful to interact with. The facility is pristine and a calming environment. Every detail was thought of to make the experience as easy and comfortable as possible for the patient and their family/driver. Dr. Litzinger is not only incredibly skilled as a surgeon, but he also clearly cares about every aspect of the patient experience. In the waiting room, I even heard several other patients thank the front desk staff for various aspects of their care that were above and beyond. We are grateful for the care received. This truly was an extraordinary experience where high-quality care was prioritized in every sense of the word "care."
