Procedures Performed

Common outpatient procedures performed at this ambulatory surgery center, based on reported specialties.

Breast Augmentation / ReductionBreast size is increased by placing implants, or decreased by removing breast tissue and skin and repositioning the remaining tissue. Reduction is often performed to relieve back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by breast weight.RhinoplastySurgery that reshapes the nose by altering the bone and cartilage beneath the skin. It is performed to change appearance, to correct breathing problems caused by internal structure, or both. Swelling takes months to fully resolve.FaceliftLiposuctionFat is suctioned out from beneath the skin through small tubes called cannulas, reshaping a specific area such as the abdomen, flanks, or thighs. It targets localized deposits and is a contouring procedure rather than a method of weight loss.Wound ReconstructionRebuilds skin and underlying tissue where a wound is too large or too damaged to close directly. Surgeons move nearby tissue, or transfer skin and muscle from elsewhere on the body, to cover the defect. Often follows trauma, infection, or cancer removal.Skin GraftingHealthy skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted to cover a wound or burn elsewhere. Both the graft site and the donor site need care, and the donor site is often the more uncomfortable of the two.

Procedure list is based on CMS-reported specialty designations. Contact the facility to confirm specific procedures offered.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. My surgery experience was ok. Doctor forgot to sign prescription so couldn’t get post surgery meds for several days. Aside from that it was fine. Billing practices are irresponsible and incompetent at best. I can’t believe that they are able to operate as a business. I had my surgery 16 months ago and I am still fighting them to bill my insurance. I have probably called them or one of their partners over 6 times to correct insurance information so that they stop balance billing me. All of the other providers in the surgery eventually figured it out but I am still receiving final notice warnings from sunset surgical center despite several written disputes instructing them to bill my insurance. They ignore my formal request to correct the bill and provide written confirmation that they received my notice. They are only open 8-5 so I have to take time out of my day job to repeatedly call them about this issue, and their voicemail box is always full or disconnected so it is impossible to leave a message- how convenient!! If you are considering a procedure here, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere unless you want to spend the next year researching insurance claims and calling this company to tell them how to do their job.

I leave this review speaking on the staff and anesthesiologist who worked with me for my multi-layered cosmetic procedure last week. Lucy the nurse who assisted me was attentive, caring and gave detailed explanations. I can’t say enough good things about her. The other staff members, receptionist and OR nurses were also professional and I knew everyone was there focusing on me. The anesthesiologist had the best bed side manner and addressed my concerns seriously regarding my crazy previous anesthesia experience. My surgery was a success and the staff at Sunset were obviously well trained to be able to support my surgeon with such a complex surgery. Thank you, especially you Lucy!!! I appreciate you.

Dr Margaliat (visiting physician) is a world renowned surgeon; Cream of the crop professional. Consider yourself blessed when in his care.... Thank you, Sir. Dr Vu is a heartless hack. Beware!

Won’t see their patients after surgery if there is a complication. So hundred plus stitches in a hand and half are infected and she is too busy to see patients in her care for two days... so I guess I’ll take my husband to the emergency room. And there are laws against that it’s called patient abandonment. The reason we had the surgery in the first place was from an infection! Dr margoliat is amazing. Dr vu is a heartless hack as described by an earlier patron. If your too busy to see the patients you already cut open maybe you should rethink your process I guess once you get your money for the surgery you just wipe your hands clean of your patients.

Lady with reddish brown hair that works at the front who is also a nurse was the worst most unfriendly and condescending person I have ever met probably in my whole life. The person who is in charge and hired her has made a huge mistake.
